Stay Teal Door's guest rating of 4.65 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Our stay was great…. The location was perfect 10 minutes from either Indian rocks or Clear Water beaches. We found some great restaurants and driving or ubering was easy. The home was great very clean and well stocked. The layout allowed for everyone to be comfortable and you had privacy as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and outside space too! Can’t go wrong if you book here!”airbnb

“Fuimos a Tampa a una graduación a la USF, la ubicación es perfecta está entre la USF y el centro de Tampa. Es una zona tranquila, y no hay restaurantes ni negocios cercanos. La casa es amplia, luminosa y limpia, muy agradable. Tanto la llegada como la salida fueron muy fáciles. Nuestra estancia estuvo muy bien. Muchas gracias.”airbnb

“The location of the place is very nice and peaceful. The place itself was lacking from the start. Couches were very stained and not pleasant to sit on. We usually never complain about small issues like lack of toiletries but we were expecting them to be there if we’re staying for almost a week with 4 people. There was one of each mini hotel style size. We were given extras when I asked for them but I should not have to do that. From the time we walked in we had an issue with the AC. The nice communication with the host started going downhill when my husband stated that it’s not working properly. We were pretty much told that we’re not using the AC correctly and that it’s normal to have 80 degrees inside in Florida. Well, it’s not! We visit few times a year and have our own place in different area of the state and that is not the norm. We did leave early and had to book another place. The host did reimburse us for the days but we should not have had to deal with that.”airbnb

“The people that know it I’m sure we’re hard to make sure everything‘s nice it’s clean however it’s just an old building creepy as well. Lots of gaps in the windows bugs get in the walls are finished so it’s very loud people outside congregate very loud. It’s a four Plex or a five Plex so although night lights are on outside and they shine bright into the room so they never turned off. The dogs barking next-door loud I’m sure it’s fine. Serve his purpose but I left early because it wasn’t quite what I thought. Nothing they were very responsive and helpful. Building is old but the price was fine”airbnb

“The house is wonderfully decorated and in a great location, close to everything you need such as restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood is clean and safe. It is right over the flight path for the Tampa airport so you always have planes flying overhead which can be noisy. The backyard is very relaxing despite the air traffic. The house is in need of maintenance and cleaning. We found garbage and debris under the couch and under the bed in the master bedroom. Dirty clothes on top shelf of master closet, and dusty areas. The lighting in this house is very confusing and there are remotes all over for things that we could never figure out. The lights in the master BR closet just stopped working one day even though the light bulbs were still good. The master BR TV just randomly stopped working one day. The blinds over the doors in the master BR that go outside were broken. In high traffic areas, the walls are smudged, dirty and worn. The master bathroom had hair on the floors.”airbnb

“I stayed 6 wks. No housekeeping; not even salt and pepper. 2 rolls toilet paper. Nothing to clean toilets. Treated like a week stay. I paid for 6 weeks! Place needs TLC. Umbrella outside shattered. Palms need trimming. Yard has more weeds than grass. This was my 3rd AB&B. 6 weeks in Hawaii. Cleaned every other week. Kitchen and bathrooms with basic needs. 6weeks in KS. Kitchens and bathrooms with basic needs and house cleaned weekly. 6 weeks in Seminole was just disappointing. I was pleased that my son drove me down as he checked the house thoroughly when the back door was found UNLOCKED. I am 82 years old and was unsettled when we opened the front door at night and found the light switches did not work. He used his phone flashlight to look for light switches. We could not control the heat in the house because it needed a battery. The lights flicker. The second bathroom had a toilet that was not balanced. Bottom line: the house needs some TLC.”airbnb

“We felt completely UNSAFE here. There were no window coverings on the huge front living room window or the huge master bath (which also had an entire wall of mirrors) window. Gate around the house has an outside latch, which allows anyone to walk into the vestibule outside the master bath, which is NOT curtained. HVAC intake is filthy. Rusty shelves in the freezer. Ice maker didn't work. Coffee maker filthy. Gross ceiling water stain. No lamps in either guest bedroom. Hot tub lamp covered in green algae/mold. Queen bunk bed mattress cover filthy. Kitchen sink nozzle covered in scale & red mold. TV tables sticky & covered in detritus. There are two light bars in the master bath, 1 over the sink, 1 over the closet, & each holds 8 light bulbs. Only 3 light bulbs work in each. 2 siding glass doors: left one didn't open, right one broken & secured only by the plastic door stop. Leather couch is ripped. Exposed outlets. After 8 years, this was the worst AirBNB experience I haver ever had .”airbnb

“The house is very nice but needs a lot of maintenance. We couldn’t open the windows, except the one in the kitchen and the blind in the master bedroom doesn’t work so we couldn’t have that French door open either. Cleanliness isn’t their priority. We couldn’t use one bedroom because the sheets had smell and were dirty. We had to wash all the pillow cases because they didn’t smell clean. Floors underneath the beds haven't been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom in the master bedroom is very old and had no window The location is very convenient in terms of proximity to grocery stores and restaurants. The neighbourhood is very quiet and very friendly people around, there are some nice parks walking distance that the kids liked. It felt very safe too although one morning security guards knocked on the door asking to see the security cameras since a car at the end of the street got broken into overnight while parked on the driveway.”airbnb
