“A fun stay! We enjoyed sitting out under the stars with our telescope, and also seeing the sunset from our dome was great. The bed was comfortable, the fridge/freezer was cold, and remarkably, the air conditioner was able to keep up with the afternoon heat! It was great that they shuttled us up to our site with our bags, because the hill is steep and has loose rocks. It's walkable, which we did the other times. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes! My Crocs did not work well! We were lucky to be near the uphill bathhouse, which has 2 showers (shampoo, conditioner, & body wash included,) 2 toilet rooms, and a sink/mirror area. Everything was clean and neat, though you do have to limit shower time to 5 min. We had a thunderstorm downpour during our stay, and there were a few leaks in our dome. But the hosts came quickly to help us clean up when we called them. It made for a fun memory for sure! For a glamping experience, this is a great stay, and we recommend!”

“This was an amazing stay! The scenery was beautiful, the dome was exactly as described. I was a little worried about the trek up the hill but the ATV to take our luggage was perfect. Just need to plan my next trip here when I can stay more than one night!”

“I spent 2 nights there with my two kids (8 years old), and we had a wonderful experience at Space Cowboys. During our stay, we hiked the Indian Head and Lost Mine trails and also drove to Santa Elena Canyon. Everything about the stay was great. The staff helped us with our luggage, which was very appreciated after a long drive. We also enjoyed doing a BBQ there. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained, and the pod itself was cozy and thoughtfully equipped, with nice decorations, a freezer, comfortable beds, and quality linens. Everything was very well done, and we truly enjoyed our stay.”

“If you're looking for something truly unique, Space Cowboys delivers. The geodesic domes are unlike anything I've stayed in before and the space was spotless, the domes, the bathrooms, the showers, all of it clean and well maintained. The host was incredibly responsive and always available, and the local recommendations were spot on. That kind of hospitality makes a real difference when you're in an unfamiliar area. The location is everything. You're close to Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park, surrounded by pure West Texas desert beauty. This entire region is known for its dark skies and it shows, sunrise, sunset, and stargazing are experiences you won't forget out here. Peaceful, quiet, exactly as described. I would absolutely stay again.”

“We had an amazing stay at 001 Space Shuttle! The whole site was peaceful with incredible stargazing; loved that we were able to slide the bed out to lay down and see the stars. Communal bathroom was very clean and luxurious. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. 001 was also very close and convenient to the parking area.”

“Very very safe location especially for a solo female traveler! I even got my car stuck because I was very sleep deprived and went down the wrong road, and the Space Cowboys team came out and helped me. The pods are a great place to still be able to enjoy the desert while relaxing and getting some AC. The only thing I would note is that the walk up and down is STEEP if you’re in an upper pod, so don’t leave anything in your car! They will take your luggage up though.”

“We loved our stay here! The host was super responsive and helpful. Sadly there was a lot of cloud coverage so we didn’t see much stars but the local restaurants were great and the dome we stayed in #12 stayed pretty cool even though it got really hot outside.”
