“Really wanted to like this place! Gate code was not correct when we got there. However, a lot of bugs in the house. Pool is not close to house. Was not what we expected.”

“Honest review from a frequent Airbnb tenant. First off I have to say that the location is misleading. The pin location shows the house to be more downtown Port St, Joe, this house is over the bridge 10 minutes away. This was a big thing for us because we trailered golf carts over and were looking forward to using them around town. There were several other options at much more affordable prices in the area of this house, but we paid a premium thinking we were closer to downtown. Over all the house was nice and very clean. Just be ready to climb a lot of steps because the advertised elevator does not work. The house is nice and new constructions, but the maintenance is lacking. There were light bulbs out, dryer doesn't work great, and of course the elevator. The amenities were nice with the little boxes of toiletries in the bathrooms and kitchen. It would be nice if the host provided a few more towels, TP, and Paper towels. Over all nice place premium priced for what you are getting.”

“This was our first time staying on St. George Island. The home was a short walk to the beach, a place to wash off the sand and plenty of outdoor space to store all beach gear. The house was very cozy but we did have to clean the floors and carpet after arriving.”

“The house was not as clean as expected. There were many non-working items, the ice maker being the most frustrating. We had 13 family members and it was very aggravating to keep enough ice for everyone.”

“I held off on writing this review to give the host time to make things right, but after several weeks with no response, I feel it’s fair to share our experience. When we arrived, someone was still cleaning the pool well past check-in. While we appreciate maintenance, it was uncomfortable having a worker on the property after we had checked in, especially with two families and seven children moving between the upstairs and downstairs units. Our first evening was then disrupted by a major leak from the upstairs shower. Water ran into the wall, flooded the bathroom, and leaked into the downstairs unit. To the host’s credit, they repaired it quickly, and the home was clean and in a great location. However, they acknowledged the inconvenience, promised a partial refund, and never followed through despite multiple follow-ups. Unfortunately, that lack of communication is why I’m leaving this review.”

“This Airbnb was beautiful and in a perfect location. I’ve gone to several airbnbs and this was the dirtiest. There was sand everywhere across all floors, a trash bag left upstairs, unmade bed upstairs with no linens (luckily we did not need one of the beds on the top floor but if we did we would’ve been out of luck), the pool was filled with sand and off colored, trash was left outside by the pool was left, the knob to pool deck was super loose, there was trash under the beds, stains all over the toilets and walls, the couch was dirty and its white, and stains on the carpets. Also the bedding did not match the photos. Photos shows white bedding but it was patterned at the Airbnb. I was happy to see there were a lot of cooking supplies and the air worked well. Overall, the airbnb is very nice, but could use some touch ups and maybe a new cleaning crew. This Airbnb was not worth the thousands we spent. Would appreciate at least a cleaning reimbursement.”

“Overall the house is as described. It’s large enough for 1-2 families and the views off of the balcony are nice. Unfortunately the communication was not great. There were no beach towels or local suggestions to find places to buy the things the property did not provide. We had to request check in/out instructions. There was hair in 2 of the beds and all of the bath mats were wet and in the washer when we arrived. There was trash, broken pool toys and broken patio furniture around the pool. Overall a great community and close to some of the local beaches but would suggest the property management company be more consistent with communication and thorough when it comes to cleaning and ensuring the pool area is kept up.”

“Overall a great spot to stay with a nice private beach entrance. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen had a good amount of utensils/bowls ect., linens were clean. Also appreciated the “care boxes” left at sinks which included soap, detergent, lotion ect. It was listed that the property had an elevator, which would have been beneficial for the older adult in my party as there are 3 flights of stairs in the house, but there was no elevator. In addition a hair dryer was listed on amenities but there was not one, as simple as this seems, members of my party did not pack one which left them without.”

“The location itself is beautiful. You open the back door & you are on the beach. Parking was awesome & just by opening the curtains we could see the dolphins in the ocean from the dining table. The only issue we had was how clean the place was. There was trash in the kitchen cabinets, the floor wasn’t vacuumed, all of the bathroom mats had stains on the them, it looked like someone came in & made the beds then just left. Even the dishes that were put up were dirty we had to rewash everything before we used it. Also, they give you a starter kit for when you get there then if you need anything extra you have to purchase it yourself which is understandable, what bothered us was when we arrived the bathrooms had toilet paper that was over 50% used I’m guessing from the previous guest. We should have gotten a complete starter kit not the left overs from previous guest. The TV didn’t work & it took them days to send someone out. We’re repeat guest but reconsidering coming back.”

“Great location. Beautiful view! However the place could use renovation. Cracked tile on floors and needs painting. The den tv is tiny. Normally we do not watch tv when we are on vacation but we had a few rainy days so turned it on. All the Air B&B's we have stayed at we would all have at least 2 towels each. At this place there is no extra toilet paper. Each bathroom had 1 roll and no back up. We will not be back.”
