“The location was great, between Charleston and Sullivan’s Island. Several good restaurant choices at nearby Shem Creek with beautiful views. The only thing that could be added is in the primary bedroom. It does not have a closet or anywhere to hang your clothes.”

“It was a good stay the bedroom holds a lot of heat and I think it needs its own a/c unit other than that 10/10”

“The bed frame is extremely noisey. If you set your bag on it or sit on it, it creeks pretty loud. It was even more creeky when laying down and rolling over in your sleep. My boyfriend did have to move to the couch due to the creeking disrupting his sleep. I would recommend a new type of bed frame. I understand having a camera in the driveway to see your property and the people staying there. However, I did find the second camera on the interior door inside the gate kind of odd considering there was a private area to relax and enjoy yourself, a little uncomfortable so we did not spend much time out there and enjoy those things much. I’ve stayed at way more expensive Air BnB’s with a lot more amenities that had zero cameras. It struck me a little odd. Other than those 2 things, the place was cute!”

“For the price point, we were disappointed. I understand an old house/old bones but this was more. The place needs to be inspected by the property manager/owner. There was an exposed electrical outlet box in one of the rooms. There were numerous paint patches and stains on several walls. One of the bedrooms was missing a smoke detector (the base was attached to the wall, but no actual detector). There were only 3 hooks for towels yet can sleep 8? The backyard/patio couldn't be used due to the number of wasps and wasp nests. The location and square footage of the house were the only redeeming aspects.”

“Very nice welcoming into the home. Everything was clean, fans/lights were welcoming, and music was playing. Very spacious for the price. The master bedroom was really something! Huge comfortable king bed with a nice sitting area. Great lighting and nice fans. Very well decorated. Nice tv’s in all rooms, but you have to have your own subscriptions to watch something. No cable. Location was good depending on your needs and wants. We walked to shem’s creek for dinner, but the beach and Charleston had to drive, not far. A little hard to wheel luggage through the grass and stones around the back, but easy if you don’t pack a lot! The only disappointing part was the cooking. House did not have basic supplies like cooking oil/spray, black pepper, lighter for the grill, and the host was not willing to bring those items even though they were on the listing. They also didn’t have tin foil or plastic bags; but that wasn’t on the listing, just would have been a nice bonus for the cooking we did.”

“Upon driving 18 hours and spending allot to get what we thought would be awesome quickly turned terrible, upon opening the door 🚪 we were hit with overwhelming fumes of fabuloso cleaning chemicals, we thought we could open some doors and air it out but then we started noticing food all over kitchen table , all over front of dishwasher, blood on wall in bathroom, blood smearing by door, filthy walls everywhere , chunks of vomit on a bathroom toilet had to leave and had a car full of cold groceries and crying kids absolutely awful not to mention the location is less than ideal pool and hot tub full of sand pool growing algae pictures don’t look like the real deal”

“We recently stayed at this property and, unfortunately, felt it did not deliver on expectations for a $2,000 rental. The overall experience lacked the level of comfort and thoughtfulness you would typically expect at this price point. The bed linens were noticeably low quality, and the towels were mediocre at best. Basic hospitality touches were missing—there was absolutely nothing in the refrigerator or cupboards, not even bottled water or coffee. If you arrive late, be prepared to wake up to a completely empty kitchen. Additionally, the provided toiletries were disappointing. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash containers were empty, with only a few small travel-size bottles. The outdoor space had potential but appeared neglected. The back terrace was not maintained, with leaves, debris, and a hose left st”

“Location was good and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, the house and property are in dire need of a deep clean and some major TLC to make it a comfortable and worthwhile stay.”

“nothing in townhouse was level. multiple types of hair and dust dirt and grime. smell was awful. even being near paper plant. sewage smell coming through pipes. contacted host and a guy showed up with bottle of cleaner and said "yeah I gotta go. floors had no leveling. you will trip and fall. it looks like someone and "remodeled" this house in about an hour. and the hair and dust was out of control. sorry but I wouldn't stay here again. in fact we almost secured another bnb while we were there. living room uncomfortable. beds uncomfortable. the microwave was clean ill say that. other than that not much to add . even address shows up wrong.”

“The property itself looks nice inside, but the location is extremely misleading. The surrounding neighborhood did not feel safe at all, and this was not clear from the listing photos. As two young guests, we were very uncomfortable staying there. We considered leaving, but we simply couldn’t afford to lose the full cost of the booking and pay for another place last minute. When we reached out to the host to explain the situation, they refused to offer any refund or assistance. Overall, this was a very stressful experience. I would not book this property again and strongly recommend that future guests research the area carefully, as the listing does not accurately represent the full experience.”
