South End Hospitality's guest rating of 4.79 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Great place, felt right at home. Location is near great coffee shops, restaurants, and public transportation. I'll definitely stay here again.”airbnb

“Cute house and well kept. Very walkable to the beach. Very clean. Temp controls in every room were a nice add. Nice appliances, comfortable bed. Bathrooms were nice, too. On a somewhat busy road, but set back from the street, so very quiet. Walk to the beach is mostly with sidewalks, so busy street is not an issue. My only disappointment was that the listing stated "fully fenced" and it is not. No part of the yard is enclosed and there are 3 large gaps from 4-10 feet in the fence line. I had specifically chosen to look at homes with fully fenced yards so my dogs could enjoy some safe freedom. I paid more to get this amenity, so I was quite disappointed in that.”airbnb

“Complete misrepresentation of the home. It is rundown, the floor had ants, the rugs when you come in the door were filthy. There was no vacuum cleaner so you couldn’t get up the sand. You did have a broom, but that wasn’t helpful. When we took the sheets off the bed, the pad underneath was so disgusting. It’s probably unhealthy. The backyard was unusable no grass just dirt pit and the deck was a mess. They failed to send us an email letting us know that the washing machine was broken and so it ended up flooding the living space and the bathroom, which we had to clean up and then go and do our laundry at a laundromat, which was not what we wanted. Had we known that there was no working washing machine we would not have rented the home. The door to the deck was almost impossible to open. We didn’t realize we weren’t dealing with the owner but a mgr. It was absolutely not as advertised. The beach chairs were broken-we had to buy our chairs. The whole experience was miserable.”airbnb

“the place itself is great. nice location. process getting there and checking in fine. But it has bed bugs - came back to note multiple bite marks all over my body (arms, legs, neck) as well as on my pregnant wife. We slept separately in the guest room on the single beds likely where they were. We noticed there were black spots on some of the sheets and didnt think much of it. Have had to throw out several clothes etc. Discussed with manager and they did did nothing - came back in 12 hours saying they "inspected" and that there was no problem. Unclear what this inspection entailed.”airbnb

“The house was very clean and comfortable. The views from the windows and deck were beautiful. The best part was the deck. Also the matreses were great for sleeping. The bathroom was very small and the shower tub was plastic and the tub slippery. The bathroom was clean but disappointing for such a nice home. The kitchen was nice and modern but it would have been nice to have a non stick frying pan and garbage disposal. Our dog loved the lawn. Overall it was a good and comfortable stay.”airbnb

“Nice unit well furnished. Bed was comfortable. The unit itself was quiet from neighbors but the street noise was quite loud. We come from a quiet place so this may have felt heightened for us. Would’ve been nice if the host had supplied a pack n play. Very walkable with ample public transportation options nearby.”airbnb

“Will reluctantly say I will not book with Drew or any of his locations anytime soon. Grotesque unprofessionalism and place is owned by business so keep in mind you’ll be dealing with various third party members with minimal responses. On our second night stay during the 3rd of July neighbors said we were too noisy and without reaching out to me Drew contacted Airbnb and cancelled the trip immediately. Not only that my friends and I were locked out of the air bnb with all of our belongings inside. Law enforcement had to come in and get us inside to retrieve our belongings. When this was mentioned to Drew or whoever the host really is I was left unanswered per usual and was still charged the full extent of our trip. Highly don’t recommend booking this place to any one considering it in the future. Bedrooms are small kitchen had an odd odor to it and toilet paper/amenities were not adequately stocked so bring some if you do plan on staying here!!”airbnb

“The house was very cute and had everything we needed (trash bags, toilet paper, etc) One thing to be aware of is that the listing advertises the beach as walkable, but it took us over 30 minutes to walk there. With beach chairs, coolers, and other gear, we found it unrealistic to walk and ended up driving instead. During our stay, we were accidentally locked out of the house. It would have been helpful to have a lockbox with a spare key for emergencies or clearer instructions about being mindful when locking the door. The air conditioning also stopped working during our stay. We did appreciate that someone came out on a holiday to bring window AC units, which helped. Overall, while the issues were eventually addressed, we were disappointed by the lack of communication and follow-up after both the lockout and the AC problem. A simple check-in to see if everything was resolved would have gone a long way toward making us feel like our experience mattered.”airbnb

“My parents experienced shower leakage problem so they couldn’t shower for 5 nights when living there. Drew was active on the problem, but we still didn’t get our compensation back at this point(3 days after check out)”airbnb
