“We had a great time at this property for our visit to Truckee. We stayed during the off season, so the resort was quiet, which is what we wanted. Chris was very responsive to our questions as we prepared for our trip, and we never ran into any issues once there that required contacting him. Property was in great condition, and despite being off season, they still had a restaurant, convenience store and daily movies at the resort theater running. The included access to use their recreation center had a $10/day cost per person which we didn't realize, but was worth it. Very simple check out procedures were appreciated. Would love to stay again.”

“The location was amazing as well as the cabin itself. The beds were comfortable and cozy and clean. The home was spacious and beautifully decorated. The cleanliness could use some work. The bathrooms all had (minimal) amounts of hair either in tub or on floor. The kitchen had crumbs on floor upon check in. The balcony was unusable in the condition it was found. I had to put gloves on and clean a weird goopy substance off the hot tub. We had to wash the patio tables with soap and water. The grill had to be cleaned prior to it being used. Overall we had a great time, just wish we’d check into a 10/10 clean home. Also I didn’t like that there was not a new dish sponge. The one provided was a used one.”

“Overall, the house was as described and conveniently located. This would have been an ideal stay if we had not encountered what we guessed correctly as mice droppings. We noticed it on the day of our check in, and immediately notified Chris at TAP. His response left more than something to be desired. For context, the droppings were located on the basement floor, near and inside the storage closet, which is also next to the bunk beds. The photos we shared of the mice droppings showed the disarray that the storage closet was in (mice droppings on scattered linens, extra mattress toppers, etc) and Chris made it a point to ask if we had made that mess (we certainly did not). Insinuating that we had somehow created a mess, with no apology in the messages that followed, and plainly stated that they had experienced a mouse outbreak a few months before and this closet area was “clearly overlooked.” There is much more to add but we are limited to airbnb’s word count. Be warned, there are mice.”

“Located in a remote place. During snow it takes 2 plus hours to reach nearby ski resorts. On day of our checkout (Feb 17, 2026) there was a major snowstorm in Truckee area. We checked out of the house but have to come back as all roads were closed. Host Chris was not even willing for us to stay for 1 extra hour while we arranged for a hotel and asked us to leave in a snow storm with 2 little kids in the car. He threatened to call police to make us leave and did not care one bit whether we will survive in the car with little kids. Stay away from this place, host is willing to sacrifice your life so as not to hurt his bottom line.”
