“We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The river access wasn’t ideal for us. A steep hill down to the water and not much flat area to sit/let the kids play. We were glad the place was dog friendly and our pups enjoyed the property and large yard. The house itself was comfortable and fine. We enjoyed the screened in porch and hot tub. The fishing was fantastic.”

“Great place to be for either Massanutten, Harrisonburg, or Shenandoah. Hot tub was nice, no views at house but felt secluded even in subdivision. Main bed is firm, ledge in kitchen- not a place for folks with poor eyesight or mobility issues.”

“Roads were not paved to get to the home. Quite difficult to get to and very far/ deep into the community. Lots of uphill. Noticeable smell in the home. Not as pictured. The outside view from the home was nice though.”

“One of the cleaner places I’ve stayed in. Extremely private with beautiful views. They even allow dogs. My only comment is you absolutely need an off roading vehicle to get to this location. The driveway/ road is steep and washed out with rocks. I didn’t have an issue because I have a jeep wrangler but if you have a sedan or very small suv you’re gonna have problems.”

“The place was great. Very homey. My only complaint is the kitchen equipment. Lots of old pans, knives and cutting boards full of micro plastics and teflon scraping off. With this being such a “remote” location I would like to use equipment that is easy to work with. Other than that place was nice.”

“This house is NOT 10 minutes from the National Park. It says that on the listing,& it's about 40-45 minutes to the nearest gate. The host claims that is something AirBnb put up there. That made us spend a lot more time in the car & it was our main problem with the listing. The house has a lovely view, and we love the decks and outdoor furniture. That being said, the layout of the house is strange. The living room and 2 bedrooms are upstairs, the kitchen and 1 bedroom are downstairs. The stairs inside are steep and narrow. The house was equipped with basic needs. The sofa upstairs was very comfy for relaxing after a day of hiking. The beds were ok- not great. One of the kitchen cabinets had a spider web inside. The fridge has a thermometer inside, reading at 50 which is too warm for safe food storage. Shower/tub was TINY. Overall, the view was nice & house got the job done. Road getting up there is nuts so be ready for that. Nice view but would not book this location again”

“we have stayed at many airbnbs. in fact, it is normally how we travel. this Airbnb I would have to say is one I would probably not stay at again. the first thing was the address came with a note that said this address will not take you directly to the location, which in fact it would have. so we avoided the original location directions on our GPS and went by those sent which took us away from the cabin instead of to it. upon arrival the code lock that was sent was not the correct one to enter the cabin. I also text the cabin manager to let him know the rope lights on the banister were not working because of a faulty receptacle. I never heard back from him. the cabin driveway was very washed out when we arrived. I'm glad we were in a four-wheel drive vehicle. if you are planning to do something directly on the river it is a good stay but anything else you are driving a distance. the cabin is for four people but there are only three chairs on the patio. and Dusty and cobwebs throughout.”

“Everything was great- only hiccup was that we tried to contact the POC left in the Welcome Book to discuss operating the fireplace, but received no response.”

“Great location and the house itself is nice, but there were a few drawbacks. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the WiFi was very slow to the point of being unusable. With some improvements in cleanliness and internet reliability, this could be a much better stay.”

“No immediate access to hot tub and not private. Did not care for the “leave by 11:00am” signs in bedrooms. Rental company rentals much different then privately owned AirBNB’s”
