“We visited over Memorial Day weekend. Our stay was exceptionally comfortable and fun for us, our three sons, their wives and children. We enjoyed all the amenities, but of special note are the large comfortable family room connected to the kitchen, dining tables both inside and outside big enough for all of us to share meals, the heated pool, and the large hot tub. We played with our granddaughters in the back yard during the day, and the adults laid on our backs on the turf for star gazing and talking after the littles went to bed. We wished we could stay for a week with our large family, including a fourth son and his wife and daughters who made the mistake of staying at the nearby Kierland Westin where they had to deal with a tiny room and extremely crowded pool all weekend. We didn’t realize there would be TWO large refrigerators! Five stars across the board, but six stars for the way the staff proactively communicated, prepared us, and responded to my requests.”

“The house was beautiful and fit all of us. It was very dusty, smelled incredibly musty, and appeared no one had been inside in a bit. While the amenities were great - stocked kitchen with supplies, towels, etc., the communication from the rental company was not great. I was not informed upfront there would be any costs for early check-in - and this was the whole reason we decided to stay here. I was told about the pool and hot tub heating charge, which was fine - IF WE HAD CONTROL OVER IT. I was informed after paying that the hot tub would automatically go on at 5 pm, and there was nothing we could do about it. The pool was dirty. There were dead cockroaches in the house and dog poop at the front entrance outside. I just would've expected a little more from a "luxury" rental. On the plus side - comfortable beds, tons of space, and a decent location.”

“This lovely home was clean and beds were comfortable. It's in a quiet neighborhood - close to McDowell Mountains and many good restaurants. The check in was easy. The backyard has flowering cacti and other mature trees. We enjoyed lounging beside the pool. Very private A couple reasons I could not give this 5 stars: Scottsdale Rentals is slow to respond and had mis-information in the description. Pool was advertised as heated and the morning we left home I messaged, asking to have pool heat turned on. Was told heated pool "no longer an option." No service recovery just a message "we apologize for the inconvenience." It was not until we reached out to Airbnb support and lodged a complaint that we were offered a portion of our fee returned.”

“Our stay had a few challenges. The AC was not functioning properly. The thermostat was set to 68, but rooms were still around 80° with no airflow. Portable AC units were provided midway through the stay for two rooms, but they required doors or windows to remain open and sealed with duct tape and then they could not be locked. The host mentioned someone would check the AC the next morning, but that did not happen. The backyard also had many bees, which made it difficult for the kids to play outside. The master’s mattress felt more like an air mattress.. very uncomfortable.”

“Unit was dirty. Carpet smelled of smoke and full of noticeable stains. Floors cracked and sticking up with sharp edges. I had to buy new pillows and sheets, mattress completely full of stains. There is a rat trap 4 feet from entrance. Unit had been smoked in and smoke smell around unit 24/7. I couldn’t walk in unit barefooted, too dirty and gross. Left 3 spoons, kitchen flooring cracked and coming up off floor I had to lay down a sheet so I wouldn’t snag or cut my foot. They had no other units available so I was stuck there. I did not sit on furniture once, so disgusting. This unit should not be offered to rent until it gets new carpet and mattresses. Of course I have pics of everything. Renter beware. Unit and property offered as no smoking environment.”
