Sautee Mountain Retreat

“Lots of space, large kitchen. Lots of places to rest. Cozy If you like firm beds not for you. Internet does not works.”

“We stayed in the Wishing Well cabin at Sautee Mtn. Resort. The good...Great location,comfortable beds and hot water in showers. The bad... trash in the fire pit, clogged dishwasher, not enough towels for 10 guests, dirty towels next to dryer, not enough cups for 10 guests and biggest issue was rain damage from roof leaking in bedroom resulting in water all over bed, clothing and floors. It took 1 hour to receive a response when I contacted Sautee via Airbnb. The maintenance number I called initially required me to leave a message. I did receive a written response initially when I complained to Sautee mountain resort via email but received no further communication after this.All maintenance did was bring us fresh linens. Unfortunately it rained that evening again and that room was not usable as the leaking continued overnight. Pictures and video were uploaded and emailed and I received a partial credit for our stay as I requested. I cannot recommend staying here or Sautee Mtn Resort.”

“Place was very nice! Looked exactly like pictures, was easy to check in! The air conditioning had a hard time keeping up but wasn’t bad. Plenty of extra towel and bedding if wanted. Place was peaceful, only about 20ish minutes from downtown Helen.”

“This is a cute little cabin tucked away in the mountains! We actually rented 2 cabins, this one and the Honeybee. The Honeybee was amazing!!! The toilet ran a little but, otherwise, it was perfection. The Rendezvous, unfortunately, came with bags of trash on the front porch, a constantly dripping kitchen sink, a toilet that dripped with each flush, and a foul smell of mildew/mold eminating from under the kitchen sink. All that said, we still enjoyed our time here. The hot tub was relaxing, the bed was comfortable, and the location worked well for our needs. The retreat itself seemed clean and well-kept. I'd def stay at Sautee Mountain Retreat again, but probably not The Rendezvous itself.”

“me and my boyfriend had a great time the place was relaxing and very clean, Id definitely come back. my only complaint was that the wifi was in and out so it made just being on our phones difficult.”

“We enjoyed our time at Sautee Mountain Retreat. The cabin was very private and cozy. The only thing we would say is that we were informed that firewood could be delivered to us upon request and we never received the firewood. After mentioning it to the host after 7 hours, we were given instructions on how to get the fire wood from the shed. The trash bin also didn’t have any trash bags, so if you end up producing a lot of trash, you may not be able to tie up the bags and placing it on the porch like the host instructs you to do upon checkout. We also weren’t provided with any fire starting materials so we had to go to the Dollar general that was 10 minutes away to grab those items. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the cabin was nicely decorated and felt so cozy. The area was sooo peaceful and calm. We would definitely recommend this cabin to other guests.”

“This cabin was peaceful but not personable. There were no special touches like other airbnbs we have stayed at. We didn’t realize this wasn’t an individuals place but owned by a company. I did like the area. We had two towels and two wash cloths for the weekend. The listing said no toiletries but I thought that meant stuff like soap and shampoo. I was prepared for that. I really didn’t think they wouldn’t have more towels and wash cloths. There were no extra blankets and the bed was bad. It made so much noise getting in and out that we woke each other up. It didn’t feel comfortable either. I personally would have rather spent my money at the Holiday Inn Express in Helen. This cabin needs some attention and then maybe I would return.”

“Overall a good place. Just felt the outside could have been cleaner. The spider webs were awful. We also had NO RAGS to bath with. Had one hand towel and 3 bath towels only. The inside was very clean though. Also they had wood for us but there was no lighter to start fire.”

“When we arrived we had to wait 40 mins. Instructions say to take the key from the lock box to get it. But the lock box was open with no key. We went to the downstairs door entrance and the same lockbox was open and no key. At the time we didn’t know the upstairs and downstairs were connected. We walked into the downstairs door and a woman was in there. Obviously a shock we walked out and went back up to the top. We waiting 5 mins and then I ended up called the number they provided. He ended up having to come after we waited 30 mins to come and unlock the door, even though we knocked downstairs to see if the women downstairs can let us is, she completely ignored us like we weren’t there. The man informed us that the cleaner was staying downstairs which wasn’t clear on the listing at all. We didn’t feel too safe about that especially after she didn’t try to let us is. We walked in to find food freshly cooked in the microwave that obviously wasn’t ours, the microwave dinged as we got in.”

“The home has potential, but NOT being maintained/managed properly! We drove 7 hours, arrived to NO toilet paper or paper towels. Food on the dishes in the cabinets and eating utensils, mouse and/or insect dropping in the drawers. Corner pockets on pool table broken, so the balls fall to the floor. Dart board, no darts. Missing/non-working lights, worn out bed sheets with rips, hair, pillows yellow, disgusting and stained, dripping kitchen faucet, leaking toilet, only working TV in the livingroom, wornout furniture.Just overall NO $$ invested back into the home! We rented Mt. Laurel, what we thought was a 2bd/2bth for $670 for 3 nights to arrive to a 6bd/5bth, but only permitted to use the top floor. We realized why halfway through our stay, AC had clearly been flooding a lower bdrm for AWHILE! No AC on the last night. Jenn refunded us $237, but we had to allow people inside daily for issues so our dog had to stay kennelled the whole stay. We couldn't just relax! 🫩 Would not recommend!”
