“Loved the location and the condo! The only thing that I wasn’t happy about is that we had to pay for the beach chairs and umbrella an extra $250 that we didn’t expect to pay. Because the beach was private we assumed that the chairs and the umbrella were included, otherwise we had an amazing time.”

“Sandpiper cove is an absolute maze. It is so hard to locate the unit and to find your way around the grounds. You will absolutely need a car if you have kids and beach stuff. We tried walking to the beach the first day and had the hardest time navigating the exit. When you actually get to the beach, it’s wonderful and you do get the private access. We booked for 9 nights. We left after the 2nd night. The beds and linens did not look clean at all. The “decorative” pillows and bedspreads had so many stains and grime on them. It just absolutely did not look clean. I was traveling with my husband and 2 kids (5 and 3yr old). The bunk beds didn’t even look like they were twin sized. They made so much noise that you couldn’t even sleep on them. All 4 of us slept on the king bed the 2nd night. The drapes to open the balcony doors were dingy and looked like they were falling off. My kids feet were black right when we got in. We found a cockroach when we returned from the beach the 1st day! Ugh”

“The location and the unit itself were fine, but the stay had real problems. The door code did not work at check in and front gate security had to let me into the unit. It failed again later in the stay, and on my final evening the backup code security gave me was also wrong, so security had to escalate to management before it was reset. The WiFi did not work from check in Wednesday until midday Friday, which was three of my four nights. I work remotely and had counted on it. There was also a leak in the shower and the tile had been removed and left out for the duration of my stay. Management responded to messages, but the access problem in particular went unresolved far longer than it should have.”

“The best thing about this unit was being able to step off the porch onto the beach! It was quiet and felt private enough. Location was a plus, with many restaurants and stores within a few minutes of driving or healthy walking. However, this unit needs maintenance. It smelled like mildew and the bathroom floor and adjacent bedroom floors felt soft like we could fall through. There were ants all over one of the bedrooms and kitchen. We had to buy bug spray and store all of our food in the refrigerator. My plans for cooking were out of the question at this point. Not even an empty cup of juice was safe from ants swarming it. I informed the host of all the issues and they responded only to hair being on the bed linen by sending someone to change them. Overall, it was nice having the beach access but I would not stay again because we just didn’t feel clean or comfortable. It felt old, musty, and cheap. Not worth the 2k for 3nights, after taxes and fees, at the end of July.”

“Terrible smell not worth paying for at all place is out dated old and smells beds are terrible”

“We had a rough start. We added a day to the beginning and arrived after midnight. After being told to park under the covering, we get there and someone else is parked there. She forgot she told them to park there. Really added some unnecessary stress in the middle of the night after a 5 hour drive. There is no where to park a trailer with a boat on it on the property. Security allowed us to park for a few hours but our fully loaded boat was on the other side of everything while we couldn’t see it. Turned out to be ok but having to pay an entire day to get there after midnight and not be able to sleep bc of the worry of the boat and having to move it by the time staff comes in was not ok. Not sure if we will stay here again. For the most part it was good. Just very basic. And the headache at the start.”

“The condo was clean and nicely updated. Plenty of space for our group of 5. The view of the canal was perfect and a spacious balcony. Cons: you need to pretty much bring everything. There were a few trash bags, dishwashing liquid, a couple of dishwasher tabs and bar hand soap but there were zero spices and 2 small food storage containers. More of those would have been helpful. Both the Keurig and traditional coffee pot probably need to be replaced or descaled (very loud and slow). The tv in the living room is small and the sound vibrates. The upstairs renters were very loud with their constant stomping late at night it that’s no fault of the owner of this one. The main reason we wouldn’t choose to stay at this unit again was because ALL beds were uncomfortable and mattresses need to be replaced with quality mattresses. We’re in our 50s and comfort is important to us. The couch though was super comfortable.”

“Everything was acceptable except the water wasn’t working due to them getting a new refrigerator but our water wasn’t getting hot or flushing down we had to wait til the next morning to have maintenance fix it …..”
