Manager Review

Sandalfoot Properties

Sandalfoot Properties's guest rating of 4.78 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house was nice, and close to the Seawall. While the house does not have a fenced yard there is a dog park across the way. We did run into communication hurdles at the start. There was confusion with the pet deposit, as it has to be paid separately from the booking, but the payment prompt didn't show up in my Airbnb app messages. The hosts also required a separate off-app email address, which felt odd (though they never actually used it). Additionally, we noticed a strict policy where you cannot cancel more than 24 hours after booking, which is much more rigid than standard Airbnb policies. Also, the check-in rules stated not to set the AC below 69 degrees to prevent it from freezing up. When I reached out to cancel worrying the system wasn't working properly the hosts declined, assuring me the AC worked fine, which it did. If you are mindful of the strict booking policies it is a clean and very well-located spot to enjoy the area!”

“Robbie and Lisa were quick to respond when I sent messages. The Condo was beautiful and had an amazing view of the beach and ocean. We were they 30 days while I recovered and did therapy at UTMB I was less than a mile from my therapy which made it super convenient. The 3 beds rooms each with its own bath was awesome and also had a half bath in the hall near the dining room. The kitchen was fully stocked with every small appliance you need! Washer and dryer in the unit was a plus very nice!! Lots of games along with an amazing huge balcony with chairs and a dining table. Can’t say enough about how great our view was. The amenities (pool/, media room) were a wonderful added plus’s for our stay Check is was easy and the people that were at the desk were always so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately during my stay the elevator had a malfunction while my brother in law and I were in it. Spoke to Ryan ( manager at Emerald) he was very rude and unconcerned about what had happened”

“Awesome ocean view from the patio, master bedroom and the pool deck. Best place we’ve ever stayed in Galveston. Great amenities and super convenient to The Strand District. Location is just far away from all the hustle and bustle of the busy seawall traffic, yet close enough to venture out for lunches and dinners. We certainly didn’t have to get out much because this place has it all!!”

“My guests and I encountered many problems during our stay. One of the bathrooms had mold, dirt rings, a slow drain, and a mildew smell. The refrigerator in the kitchen did not seem to be cooling properly as every time we went to get something none of our products were cold, and the fridge in the garage also did not feel cold and resulted in our food going bad. We wanted to use the grill, but we found a giant hole on the bottom of the rusty grill making it unusable. The biggest problem was the lack of professionalism in their communication. I had reached out with a question the day before my arrival and was not met with a response. On the night of my arrival I texted one of the numbers provided about the issues we encountered and I did not get a response until I sent a follow up message the following morning. They offered to clean the bathroom but did not apologize for any inconveniences, and did not even acknowledge any of the other issues until after we had checked out.”

“Overall place was ok . Microwave was gross and needed to be replaced . Also grill had a giant hole and was unusable . Place seemed to need a little TLC . Lots of old worn out items through the house . Great location to everything.”

“The Airbnb was nice inside but it had 1 damaged coffee maker, slow drain in the bathroom, broken blinds, a muddy backyard, old furniture in the front deck, and in the backyard, worst of all 2 baby cock a roachs. The owner got upset with me and told me I was the problem when I mentioned there was a lot of clutter next door house.”

“Spent about 30 minutes there. Backyard was barren of grass, full of trash and broken furniture and the neighbor’s dog barked at us constantly from a 2nd story window. In short, not pet-friendly.”
