Manager Review

San Juan Property Management

San Juan Property Management's guest rating of 4.74 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The price per night did not match with the noisy location. It is located on a very busy road with a lot of early morning and late evening vehicle traffic noise.

So, great location and cute enough place. But all downhill from there, consistent with prior reviews. No coffee/water at check-in. No induction plate to cook something small. The 80’s called and want its sad/tired coffeemaker back. The ‘pull-out’ couch in the living room is incredibly uncomfortable, for sitting or laying. The mattress on the bed is brick-like in its give, and the pillows are sad flat cats. The TV is a 18” bad computer monitor, with an old/slow Roku plugged in. It’s on a fixed wall mount so that from the bad sofa you can’t view it. For $1-$2k one-time spend for an induction plate and new coffee maker, a decent couch, and good mattress/pillow, and for less that $10/guest stay, this property could easily get five star ratings each and every time. I don’t know if it’s an owner or mgmt company issue, but the feedback is very consistent from your guests. For future guests, I would stay elsewhere so your Friday Harbor experience isn’t ruined.

The location is great with lots of stuff very close and within walking distance. if all you care about is location you will be happy. Bring your own coffee! oh and bring your own drapes! there's no window dressings on four of the windows, so the sun will be beaming in your face in the morning. I went through through prior reviews and guests have been complaining about this for some time, but management has still done nothing. finally, if you show up at night, be careful when you walk from the back to the front of the house to get in. there's no lights along the driveway and I nearly twisted my ankle on a big pothole. I would not stay here again.

Definitely book this place if you’re looking for ease, convenience, and walkability. We were able to jump off the ferry from anacortes and walk two short blocks to get to the Airbnb. We won the weather lottery for our stay which meant lots of sunshine, cool 65-70 degree weather. That did make the overall apartment feel a bit stuffy. There’s no AC, but it is equipped with two fans that helped our weekend. We left the windows open and fans going during the day and most of the night. Personally, my husband and I are super light sleepers so with the windows opened, we heard everything. The bar goers leaving at midnight, the street sweepers at 3:40 am, the cars/semis departing the ferry at 5:20 am. We were booked for 4 nights and left after 3, willing to sacrifice the cost of an extra night to get some good sleep at home. We recommend this place for deep sleepers.

The home is beautiful and stunning views. Location is ideal for relaxing with great access to restaurants. The only issue is that the showers do not work properly. Considering the nightly rates the showers should work. Would love to return but unfortunately the showers are a significant issue.

Overall a good stay. Place was well stocked. Clean. Everything was great other than the Netflix being unavailable, the early checkout time and the slow communication about the Netflix. Overall, a great little spot and nice, well stocked unit.

Overall this was a good place to stay, conveniently located thou a bit noisy. I think it would be too warm to stay during the summer months and they really could use a couple of split AC units. Also there is only privacy film on the two windows next to the bed so the bedroom is quite bright. I’m not sure why there aren’t curtains. The unit was impeccably clean, comfortable, and with an amazing view. We would book again.

Overall nice place to stay for a few days. Its worth noting the beach access has a decent hill and could be difficult if you have a disability. Home was clean but did notice webs and ants. Pest Control showed up while we were there and the lack of any window coverings made it feel not so private. Decent spot to get away a few days minus the things mentioned.

First off. The good: you cannot beat the price of this unit that is located just seconds from the ferry terminal. Its centrally located in the heart of Friday harbor, making just about everything walkablr However, the size and privacy of the unit is a bit misleading in the listing. I originally booked this unit for four adults, two of which backed out after realizing that the "second bed" in a "pet friendly" unit was an air mattress to be set up in the living room area which is visible from the main bed. There would have been very little space for four adults here. the pet policy is VERY aggressive and after seeing the strongly worded signs we decided to just drive everywhere with our dogs in the car rather than risk the potential fees associated with leaving them in the unit. the coffee pot also did not work after brewing one out of coffee. would have been worth spending more to stay somewhere more welcoming after traveling for six hours.
