Salty Life Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.55 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Place was beautiful. Too bad all amenities as listed were not there. Air conditioner was locked out at 75 degrees, and stayed about 80 degrees for our stay and texted host with no reply. Garage lip was safety hazard and had an emergency room visit r/t to this. No bath mats and one towel per person. No advertisements about no boat trailers and we were there to scallop so had to rent a campsite to park our boat. It is to bad, I will not be staying again.”airbnb

“It's a very beautiful place, I can't deny it. My only disagreement was the little communication I had with the lady in charge, I have traveled from 12 hours until I get to the accommodation and I never had information on how to enter the apartment, I did not have the two days in advance of access to the apartment it was desperately because I came on the road with children. When she arrived, the lady deigned to appear, only lack of communication on her part. Otherwise very nice and the apartment lacks a little toilet”airbnb

“BEAUTIFUL place, very clean and spacious. LOVED the big balcony. Parking was smoothly and easy. Had some issues with communication… I had messaged her 2 times within 2 weeks before our trip asking about the parking, and # of parking passes because it did not say it in the description and she never responded. The day of my booking, she did respond. BUT I never got any type of “welcome, check in” message.. I had to text and call many times after my 4:00 check in time to get my code. Which thankfully I decided only a few minutes after 4. But still very stressful. Also I had to text and ask many things, including the code to get into the pool and to the beach area because I wasn’t provided with any of that. I will say I had a few questions during my stay and she responded within minutes which was great! But the check in process was stressful because the communication wasn’t great and I never got a detailed message. But the area, hotel and parking garage was soo amazing!!!”airbnb

“I am very disappoint, nice place to stay but owners need give what they offers: 1) I Rent this place for five days 4 nights and she gave us towels for one day only; 3 big towels 2 medium and 4 hand towels we used that in one day and staring washing everyday, 2) This place rented for 5 days came with ONE toilet paper in each bathroom, what in the world! At least give 3 each bathroom! 3) We're unable to make the TV works try many different ways, she sent someone to help 2 days later. 4) My arrival time was 5:40pm texted to get the garage code she responds 40 minutes later 5) The patio light was out I reported from the first day it wasn't fixed by the time when we left.”airbnb

“Paula's place is very close to the beach which was great but as soon as we arrive we noticed that the trashcan bins were completely full, when we entered we noticed that there was sand on the floor, blinds were dirty, blood stain on the quilt, the grill was very dirty and so was the coffee maker which made the experience not as enjoyable. We were 10 people and stayed 4 night and we had to share 8 towels total, shampoo and conditioner was not provided.”airbnb

“Overall, we had a decent stay, and the location worked well for our family of 9. However, there were several maintenance and cleanliness issues that I think future guests should be aware of. Kitchen is not equipped for a large party. Needs a detailed cleaning of whole unit (rust stains on bathroom toilet & floor, living room couch needs replaced, dirty pillows & dusty curtains, dirty dishes in dishwasher). None of these issues completely ruined our trip, but for the price paid, we expected a higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. Hopefully these items can be addressed, as the property has good potential.”airbnb

“I think the condo was nice and decorated nicely. Also the kitchen had a good bit of cooking wear to use. My family thought it was very nice of them to leave cups with a few refills available for us to use at the tiki bar. However when we arrived one of beds in the bedroom had a panty liner (used in bathing suits) stuck to it so we had to use a different blanked and no sheet because that was a bit nasty. The balcony is beautiful and during the day you can hear the music from tootsies next door. However the balancing furniture was falling apart and flakey. The only other thing that was a bit disappointing was the bathroom liner had mold and dirt on it. Other than that the room is decorated beautifully, the balcony is beautiful and it’s a great hotel to stay at. We love The Summit.”airbnb

“The only issues we had was utensils- every meal we attempted to make ran into roadblocks. No cookies sheets/ strainers/pancake flipper/ etc. also only 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 days. Other than that- this place is absolutely worth the money!”airbnb

“The house was very spacious and was surrounded by beautiful scenery! There was plenty of space for our party, and the closeness to the beach was amazing. We did have a slight problem with host responsiveness, and did not get our door code until 30 minutes before checking in, which was a little nerve wracking when driving 13.5 hours down to Florida. There is some mold present in bathrooms, and we saw some mouse droppings in the front closet. Overall, the stay had issues, but we did have a great time and the location was phenomenal.”airbnb

“Host confirmed our reservation on Tuesday the 5-26. On 5-29-2026 while traveling to Florida we sent a message to Paula asking for the code to get in. Within 10 minutes we received an email stating our reservation had been canceled. No explanation or communication from Paula. We were in contact with Airbnb and they stated Paula told them her computer glitched and she had double booked the condo. This could’ve been taken care of with a message to us or a phone call. But it left us scrambling to find a condo while we were on the road, last minute. I understand things happen. However, open communication is key. I was traveling with a young child so left me feeling uneasy, not being able to research and having to book something last minute. I use AirBnB often, this is the first time I’ve ever had to leave less than a five star review. However, I feel communication is extremely important.”airbnb
