Salted Roots

“We were looking for a place close to the train station because of an early trip the next morning. Access to the train station from this location was perfect! The beds were extremely comfortable. Kelly provided ear plugs for those who have a hard time sleeping with the noise from the trains. The only surprise for me was a loud dance yoga/dance class under our apartment that sounded like a band practicing. Fortunately, it only lasted an hour. The convenience of not only the train station, but downtown Anchorage made this an ideal location and we would not hesitate to stay here again.”

“This suite had an incredible view overlooking Resurrection Bay! It’s just a short drive away from “downtown” Seward, which is great for some added privacy. The road to this house is a bit gravel-y, but it’s pretty well maintained and really any vehicle should be able to handle it. The bed was genuinely very comfortable and I had some very restful nights of sleep! The suite has a microwave, but the shared kitchen downstairs is very well stocked if you want to cook. Kelly Ann was a responsive and polite host!”

“Great hosts, very responsive, clear instructions. The room was spotless! It’s such a cute spot with an added bonus of a coffee shop in the same building. They have done a wonderful job creating Salted Roots in Anchorage. We needed a place within walking distance to the train. It’s a very close, easy walk. Restaurants are easily walkable as well. The perfect spot!”

“Kelly Ann's condo was perfect for 2 couples. The location is within walking distance to so many places, and we really loved that it was a short walk to the train station, so we could board the Denali Star Train super early around 7am. The condo was exactly as described and very clean. We will absolutely stay here again next time we are in Anchorage! ps - it's also within walking distance of the convention center where our bus dropped us off after our cruise. So this means you don't have to rent a car or even pay for an Uber for any of your transportation downtown. It's perfect!”

“This is a super thoughtful and comfortable space. Pretty close to other people which we weren’t expecting, but it’s not awkward except maybe if you’re sitting outside (we actually had a nice fire with our “neighbors” so not knocking it, just a heads up). Otherwise, I’m an AK resident and this was my best cabin/airbnb experience at Lowell Pt. Inside was exactly like photos and then some. Super comfy bed, super streamlined and efficient arrangement of everything. Rent some bikes and bike out there from town. So dreamy (70yo mom says maybe not for her tailbone but still)!! Thanks to the hosts.”

“What a cool place! Definitely the most creative home we've ever stayed. Was very clean and has a great atmosphere. Kelly was very kind and responsive. We were traveling with small children and I was a bit worried about the 1YO on the stairs and with the cable railing up top. But all around, we had a great time and thank you for hosting us!”

“I know Anchorage is expensive so in that respect, the price was fine. The bed was comfortable, coffee was good and the shower had nice temps and control. Parking was easy. Kelly Ann was wonderful in her responses. She answered within minutes and was so helpful. 5 stars to her.”
