“Overall we had a nice stay at Heron penthouse 6 this week. It looks like the pictures, other than wear and tear which you can see when you get up close. The pocket doors were difficult to close, either due to age or humidity. The condo was well stocked with bath towels and the beds were pretty comfortable. The toilet paper is practically see-through though, and they don’t provide more than one extra roll for the whole stay which was tight with 6 of us for 4 days. Also, the AC balancing left something to be desired. The front room with the bunks was freezing during our entire stay, while the back half of the condo with the primary bedroom was noticeably warmer. There are two thermostats for the unit, but they are so close together in the hall that I don’t know how that helps. Other than those minor issues, the condo was well set up and comfortable. We enjoyed the location in town, and the pool and beach access were good. I would recommend it to others, if some maintenance is done.”

“I loved the place. Everything is close, the beach is a few 5 minutes away walking and the pool was right in front of our place. The only issue I had and it’s the reason for my 4 star review, is that they only provide one parking pass. If you are traveling with multiple vehicles it is annoying having to park a car somewhere else. They should be able to provide more parking passes because there was plenty of parking for two vehicles per cabin.”

“Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our scheduled 4:00 PM check-in was delayed because the cleaning crew was still at the property, and we were unable to enter until approximately 4:30 PM. This was especially frustrating after a 13-hour drive, when we were expecting to arrive and be able to settle in immediately. The bedrooms were also very hot and uncomfortable at night, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. After our stay, we were presented with a $540 reimbursement request for alleged furniture damage that we did not cause. We disputed the claim, and Airbnb is currently reviewing the matter. The property itself was otherwise as expected, but the delayed check-in, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, and subsequent damage dispute significantly affected our experience. We would not stay here again.”

“We enjoyed staying here! I will say that we didn’t like that Ariel Dunes II closed their pool and we weren’t allowed access to Ariel Dunes I pool and the kitchen rug was very dirty looking but everything else was great!!”

“Description states room for 8, however there is only 6 chairs at the dinning room table and only 4 chairs on the very small patio. The unit could have been cleaner. We had 3 maintenance tickets opened in the first few hours after check in. Over all, having been there just 2 full days it was fine.”

“I thought it would be like a small apartment, turns out it was smaller than a hotel. When I expressed my concerns with the tub filling after showers, not having an iron, or basic accommodation ( such as coffee) the Manager Keri informed me that it was advertised as a small hotel room “ but aren’t these things in a hotel room?” Disappointed for the amount I payed. It was double the hotel price, with zero hotel accommodations. The private beach was also confusing. The other resorts had a place for their guest to sit, not Pelican. Just not worth the price. Really disappointed .”

“Overall a nice place. Was not informed regarding details on parking onsite. Also code for beach area access was not correct and took 4 phone calls to get corrected.”

“We love the location of this condo and being on the ground floor. However, we wish the condo would have been a little cleaner. There was hair in multiple places in the bathrooms and a very strong gross smell upon entering the condo. It was especially strong in the bathrooms. Also, most of the furnishings could use some updating/replacing! Overall, we had a nice stay here.”

“house is beautiful, location is perfect & within walking distance from the beach! lots of shopping & restaurants within a few miles of house. unfortunately, we had some hiccups. first, communication is not a strong suit with this company. there was no hand soap, no beach towels, one roll of paper towels, 3 rolls of toilet paper, and the outside shower was nonfunctional. the lights on the gazebo are also nonfunctional. the photos did not exactly match the house. blinds are broken, the house color is changed which made finding the house a little difficult, the downstairs bathroom toilet handle is hanging off and barely functioning. doors are coming off the hinges (literally), top bunk of bunkbed is extremely wobbly and very dangerous for kids to be sleeping on. i feel as though i did not get my moneys worth and im pretty disappointed. my family and i even left a day early because it just did not meet our expectations.”
