“When we arrived to the location, it was not very clear that the pick up location for the keys to the condo were in a different location then the condo itself. We were able to navigate through that pretty quickly. When we arrived to the condo, immediately when we walked in, you can tell that there is not the best circulation, it smelled damp and a little musty. Also, because of this, the texture from the ceiling was falling to the floor in the living area. I will also say, ONE BIG thing is that there are also no deadbolt locks on the entry door. Only a small door lock on the handle. Being two women in a unfamiliar area, we didn't feel the safest. The views are amazing and the rest of the condo was ok. Would suggest updated appliances, the fridge was rusty, the couch felt a little wet because of the circulation and the furniture was not the cleanest. A little upset at the conditions but we managed to still have a good time.”

“Location was perfect. Unit a little dated but was very clean and loved sitting on the balcony listening to the ocean!”

“The location is absolutely perfect! My husband and I always prefer staying at crescent beach because the beach is always so quiet and peaceful which is perfect for families. The unit definitely needs some updating when it comes to the towels, bath mats, and bedside mats. It wasn’t the cleanest but we made do and still had a fantastic time. Again, perfect location!”

“The location on the beach was beautiful. The condo was clean. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher and has very limited kitchen items. The biggest complaint was the bed was very uncomfortable and too soft. We left a day early because we could not sleep on the bed.”

“The condo was lovely and decorated nicely, updates really needed for bath towels, mattress, bed pillows, rugs, kitchen cookware, toaster. I’m not comfortable using these items that are so worn out. I would prefer to pay more to have these items in better condition.”

“Derrick's place was as advertised. It's on the water, surprisingly quiet, and very clean except for a weird something under the bed. Just an oversight I'm sure, nothing to not book over. We were grateful that we could bring our dogs, but I would not say this was a "dog-friendly" rental in that it's on the fourth floor in the center of the building, and there are virtually no green places on the grounds to have potty breaks, so it was a major hassle to take the dogs up and down for potty breaks three or four times a day, and it wasn't obvious from the description that this was on the fourth floor. That said, it was lovely to see and hear the ocean from the balcony, and there was a fairly good seafood restaurant about 8 minutes away, but the better restaurants and activities are 20-30 min away in St. Augustine. Not a deal breaker, just something to know.”

“Our stay was disappointing due to several issues. At check-in, our paperwork directed us to Unit 105. After we unpacked and went to the beach, we received a call saying we were actually assigned a different unit but were told it was fine to remain in 105 because the other guests had been moved. Unfortunately, Unit 105 was noticeably smaller, less updated, and lacked the ocean view we expected based on the listing. Traveling with a 12-year-old and a 5-year-old, the smaller layout made our stay much more cramped. We also had a maintenance issue with the shower, which would not drain while in use, causing dirty water to pool around our feet. I attempted to contact the host through Airbnb and email but never received a response. The beach location was wonderful, but the accommodations and lack of communication did not meet expectations.”

“Overall, our stay ended up being good. However, we were disappointed because this was not the place we originally booked. We received a last-minute notice that our reservation had been changed because the property we booked had been given to someone else. That was frustrating and unprofessional, especially since we had specifically chosen and confirmed that location. Fortunately, the replacement worked out well in the end, but the last-minute change left a negative first impression.”

“The house and location are amazing. You cannot beat the views or the privacy. Very quiet and relaxing. Beds were very comfortable. Outside furniture was nice but needs cleaned. a double swing would be great. Furniture inside was not extremely clean, but we had pets with us so that was not a huge deal. The directions to the house were horrible. They say look for an upside down tree that after 8 days I still have mot found. Says 2 miles from second foot bridge??? The directions do not say what days the trash runs. the cans smelled very badly and were over flowing. There were no was clothes at all. I messaged Derick 2 days in a row before receiving a response of No idea why thst would sll be gone at the same time. Then offered to bring some the next day. by that time I had purchased some already. Over all the house and location were well worth every penny of what I paid.”
