“This cabin is one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. It is beautiful land, with such cozy and comfy amenities. The hot tub in the woods is one of its best features. The furniture is a little lived in, but full of character. Close to Guerneville and Jenner, but secluded and totally private. 10/10 would stay again.”

“Loved our stay at “Rumour has it”!. we loved the convenience, cleanliness, and efficiency of this cute little getaway. The place felt like a cabin in Tahoe, but was super well appointed. Every bed was comfortable, bathroom was cute, and the house had lots of supplies. The place had everything we needed and was well stocked with kitchen essentials, etc. We loved spending time on the deck, loved the beautiful redwoods and the location so close to town.”

“Great little cabin - especially if you’re looking to disconnect. The space is small but perfect for a couple getting away for a little while. My dogs absolutely loved it as well. The direct access to the river is the absolute best part. Will agree with a previous review about the bad smell in the kitchen - I think coming from the drain most likely. Also the bed is very soft so be warned if you prefer a more firm mattress. Overall it was an amazing week away and would absolutely book this place again.”

“The house was in a great location. The backyard was super peaceful and plenty of room to roam. The views are amazing. Super comfy couches and a well stocked big kitchen. Kayaks were awesome to take out. Will definitely come back!”

“Stayed at cab cottage for a birthday weekend getaway with a few friends. We had a great time! Our favorite spot to hang out was in the hot tub and outdoor deck to take in the beautiful view. House was nice and clean, perfect for the six of us.”

“Stayed for the weekend for a family gathering nearby with my family of 5. We had more than enough space to stay out of each others way. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious enough. Outside, the large lower deck was our go to for coffee in the mornings, and the ample sized upper deck was our area to unwind at the end of the day in the hot tub. Back inside the kitchen was roomy and had plenty of amenities. Fans were available for every room and with windows open in the evenings, it was ample enough to cool things down for the night. Plenty of seating areas inside. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again”

“First, this is not a a property near a beach, unlike the name of the property.. The house is several hundred yards from the Riverhead. The pictures in the listing really do not represent the worn down feeling of the interior. The supplied notebook with info had a lot of conflicting information that required me to clarify with the owner. We arrived and had been notified that the power was out in the main living space, but that would be corrected that day. That did not happen so we did not have light in the living room, dining room and one wall of a bedroom. The kayaks were in deplorable condition – covered in cobwebs and ants, one of them with electrical tape over a hole, and they were extremely heavy to drag down to the river. I communicated with the owner promptly about all of these issues, and she said she wasn’t sure what to do to make our stay more comfortable. I asked her for a one night refund which she did readily, but I was disappointed that that wasn’t offered immediately”
