“This was a wonderful location for a family getaway! Perfect space for a family of 4 (or 6, realistically), with tons to do and driving distance of some great restaurants. We will definitely be back.”

“This is a basic condo but the location is fantastic. you can walk to the beach, restaurants and pools. It’s right next to the green on hole one of the golf course and facing the mountain for a great view.”

“This mountain retreat offered a quiet, private place with ample space for our family of nine to spend time together. The cabin was clean and comfortable, with plenty of sleeping options and a covered outdoor deck that was a pleasant space for morning coffee and an evening cookout. The kitchen included plenty of cookware for preparing meals for our group. Resort amenities are a short nine-minute drive, and Chimney Rock State Park is only about 30 minutes away. Aside from outdoor activities, the house was well stocked with videos, games, and books, making even a rainy evening fun for the family.”

“We paid over $3000 for only 5 days and expected much more! First of all we had our two small grand-daughters with us and right away we noticed that the deck railing was very loose. One good push and we would have gone over the edge. There will be a serious issue here if repairs are not made. The decking boards were installed using nails rather the decking screws and many nails were protruding. Not a safe situation. On arrival we sent questions for the host through AIRBNB but it took days to get a response. The weather turned very cold during our time and the heat downstairs (where our grand-daughter slept) did not work. Though, we sent a message asking for help and instructions we did not receive a response until after we had checked out. In the living room there is only a very large, very old sectional sofa that sinks almost to the floor when you sit on it. this was an extremely uncomfortable place. Lastly, every single day we ran out of hot water. For the money we expected MUCH more”

“The location was lovely and easy to find. I had a party of 12 staying for 5 nights. The house was clean and as pictured, but needed some maintenance. There were several broken chairs, a few lights burnt out, and a few of the kitchen appliances (the food processor and the hand mixer) weren't useable. All in all, they were pretty minor issues. I reported the burnt out lights the day after check-in and asked they be replaced. We got no response. A few things to note: trash pick up must be requested because of bears in the area and there is little to no cell service on site. The trash cans are small for a house of that size, and we needed trash pick up on day 2. I messaged and got no response. I left a voicemail and got no response. After a message every day until check out, I still got no response. We bought our own contractor bags to handle the trash smell. They never contacted us. Just the automated check-in/out messages. Nothing did, but IF anything had gone wrong we'd be SOL.”

“The staff at Rumbling Bald was great. Maintenance guy came twice to try to solve issues. Air hockey game was missing, fuse ball table was broken. Kids indoor basketball game had no power so no score keeping. Outside patio furniture was covered in mold and several chairs broken. Floors in entire house was dirty, and our feet black. Outside decks were also moldy. For 11 people, had no garbage bags. No bear proof garbage cans. Trash had to stay inside entire stay with stinky diapers. One set of washer/dryer was moldy and dirty and couldn’t use washer. All dishes in the kitchen were dirty and had to run them through dishwasher twice in order to use. No plates,cup, silverware or anything in downstairs kitchen. Living room chair was broken with nails sticking out. Just overall very dirty. No hangers in any closet. Again, the RB staff was awesome, from the front desk crew, the maintenance guy helping get the hot tub clean. Hot tub was very dirty to start with, but he got most out.”
