Rover Vacation Rentals
4.23
Rover Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.23 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Hunter seems like a nice person, but as a nurse resident, this stay was more inconvenient than I expected. The positives: the couch and living room are nice, and the location is very close to St. David’s Medical Center and Dell Seton. I paid just under $400 for the week. Unfortunately, that’s where the pros end. Much of the furniture is IKEA-style, self-assembled pieces, and one of the dining chairs was missing a screw—I nearly fell because of it. The walls are extremely thin; you can hear everything from neighbors showering to poop. There was also loud music playing until the night. I knocked and they turned it down, but it started right @ 7:30 a.m. Communication was slow; responses from Hunter’s team took 8+ hours at times. There’s also no lighting in the pathways and hallways leading upstairs, making it pitch black at night. I didn’t feel comfortable being outside after 8 p. Also, the internet was cut off Parking is located in an alleyway near dumpsters, where people rummage in”airbnb

“Very disappointed in the booking. The location is great. When I arrived to my Airbnb it hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was undone. The restroom was nasty. I communicated with the owner, he read my messages, and no response. I received a full refund from Airbnb and left the Airbnb the same night. The photos from the reservation were also different from the actual unit. Very dissapointed.”airbnb

“Decent place overall, but right before check-in I was informed the couch was broken and offered a small refund or cancellation. Since it was too late to rebook, I stayed and accepted the refund offer, but never received it and got no response when I followed up.”airbnb

“Stayed at 2 of his places. Both are trash lol. First place was very rundown, no trash bags, or things to you in the kitchen. Cleaners were still there when I went, wouldn’t let me use the bathroom I had to go badly, AND it wasn’t even cleaned had a dirty film on the floor. Black socks. Second rental near Mueller 2 bed room was even worse! Looks like you’re staying at the budget inn. Had baby roaches everywhere, host did nothing about it said “oh my! I’ll try to get that sorted out” but did nothing basically. I wouldn’t recommend ANY of hunters properties. I was taking a nap when I heard another guest trying to get inside of the place! I open the door he was giggling with his friend & said he was checking into an air bnb… Hunter is an awful, with awful rentals. Save yourself the money. He’s clearly money hungry w his low budget rentals & lack of upkeep. Do better Hunter. God bless.”airbnb

“This was a safe area. Good parking, close to stuff, good price, and has potential but lots of issues… lock box was almost dead when we got here so they sent a person to fix it within 30 mins. Listing originally said washing machine in unit but after I booked they changed it to communal washing machine in complex (didn’t tell me where it was). No salt, pepper, oil, cutting board, baking sheet, tin foil, or knife block. The shower head super low, I am 5’2… No conditioner, extra sheets, extra towels or extra pillows for sofa bed. Kitchen table chairs were broken. Fan above bed didn’t work and almost came out of ceiling when I went to turn it on. Upstairs neighbors very loud from 10pm-1am. Now all of these things are a quick fix and could be fixed but it was inconvenient because it was promised in the listing then not provided. Had to use a dish towel as an oven mitt. Lastly, bugs in the shower. I will not be returning.”airbnb

“This is clearly a place only maintained for Airbnb, which would be fine, except they have put the bare minimum effort into it. Everything is either broken, very cheap/uncomfortable, or stained/dirty looking. It's also not cheap. The shower handle didn't work, WIFI barely worked. I would avoid this place and all of this hosts places.”airbnb

“Staying here was an adventure in absurdity. The elevator was broken to start, so I had to take a labyrinthine sojourn through the parking garage. The apartment itself was nice, except for one pretty glaring issue: the hole in the bathtub and no, I'm not taking about the drain. The water from the shower ran all the way down into the kitchen and out the cabinets. But don't worry! A rubber glove was tied around the open pipe of the tub faucet, so you're covered there! I wish I could upload pictures instead of painting this image with words, but I genuinely feel like I was cursed by a witch to stay here. The bedrooms are loft style and there are no real walls separating beds. The television refused to connect to wifi and was useless. There are stairs with poorly attached carpet leading to the bedrooms. I spoke to other guests in the building, all of whom has issues ranging from sewage smell to holes in various places. This building should be condemned. Thanks for the stay”airbnb

“when someone list Wi-Fi, they should have it working or at least make every attempt to get it working. My day was an entire week and all we needed was a screen name and password but someone failed to call and give us this information. They found it easier to just ignore us leaving us with no means of entertainment via TV. Anyone who has a teen knows how this unfolded with no television for a weeks stay.”airbnb

“Had a rental for five days here no Wi-Fi no running water in the sink in the bathroom. The host told me to let maintenance know, but nobody showed up to correct the problems. The host did not care.”airbnb

“Unfortunately, this unit was a major disappointment. The listing did not match the photos at all. As soon as we entered, there was a very strong smell of paint, which was overwhelming. There was visible mold inside the pantry, which raised immediate health concerns. The unit also appeared to have serious plumbing issues. When the shower was used, water leaked into the kitchen cabinet, soaking the counters and floor. This is unacceptable and unsafe. The space was not properly prepared for guests. There was a towel stuffed behind the toilet, which was unhygienic and concerning. To make matters worse, a notepad was left behind by a maintenance worker detailing multiple unresolved issues with this unit and others on the same floor, indicating ongoing problems that had not been addressed prior to our stay. Overall, the unit was not ready for guests, and the conditions did not meet basic cleanliness or safety standards. I would not stay again unless significant improvements are made.”airbnb
