“We had mixed feelings about this place. I’ll split them into pros and cons below: Pros: 1. RIGHT across the street from the beach; you can see the beach from the balcony. 2. Loved the rainfall shower head. 3. Bed was SUPER comfy. 4. Kitchen stocked w/cooking utensils. 5. Elevator & cart to transport belongings was extremely helpful. 6. Quick responses from host. 7. Plenty of towels! Cons: 1. The construction is worse than what is described- I also expected more work to be done based on the dates of reviews that reflect construction has been underway for a VERY long time now. The balcony faces dilapidated stairs that are taped off w/debris directly in your line of sight, taking away from the beach view. 2. ANTS! Lots & lots of ants. Couldn’t even lay in the living room floor w/my child due to ants crawling on us. 3. The design of the railing on the balcony felt extremely unsafe to allow my toddler anywhere near. We were unable to utilize the balcony very much due to this.”

“Everything good just didn’t have k-cups for coffee machine which is something ive always seen provided in airbnbs. Also couch stank really bad and tub didn’t have a stopper for baths. No hand soap provided either. Other than these great experience and awesome condos and pools.”

“To start off, the door lock was dead when we arrived. Called and got switched to another room till a locksmith came out on the next morning. Called and asked if they got someone to do it so we could unload all of our belongings in the correct room. They would let us know when it was fixed. Waited around till 10:45 am and was going to head to the beach so we didn't waste anymore of our day. We were in the office to get the parking permit and get a call to go to the room we reserved and to let her know when we were out of the previous nights room so she could send cleaners. Get to the room just upstairs and the cleaners were already there. We had to quick get everything together and headed to our room we reserved. All good until the next night we were going to drop off our dog in the room and go for supper, room lock is dead once again and had to call her to let her know. The local guy came again to the rescue again. Over all not the vacation we wanted but views were great from balcony.”

“Unfortunately, our experience with this stay was disappointing from the beginning. We arrived at night with our two children, and had not received clear check-in instructions. so I had to contact Donna, but the instructions were still confusing and did not clearly explain which elevator to use or which floor we needed to go to eventually, we figured it out ourselves,Once we entered the unit, we immediately noticed that the floors were very sandy. you could not comfortably walk barefoot, advertised convertible sofa bed was broken, and since our kids weren’t comfortable using the top bunk, all 4 of us ended up in one bed(the bottom bunk bed was sandy too) We were offered another unit, then denied because it “sleeps 4,ignoring that the advertised sofa was unusable.A promised air mattress never came.We requested clean sheets, extra towels and a broom.Staff entered then a text from donna denying our concerns and nothing was provided, mold on the bathroom l,)we got 50$ refund for check-in issue)”

“Well cared for unit- fastidious and aggressive checkout instructions like you are staying with your mother in law. Good proximity to beach and views. Cute decor and bunk bed nook- overall good stay just be prepared for emails, texts, and other messages.”

“We visited Galveston over the weekend and wanted to stay in a ground floor unit. We enjoyed swimming at the complex, the pools are nice and well maintained. You can see the gulf from the patio at the condo, which was nice. The condo wasn’t clean enough though and supplies need improved. We went to get a spare blanket and pillow from the master bedroom closet and were surprised to find linens that were obviously dirty and torn. The plastic bed pillows provided are not comfortable and need to be replaced. We brought coffee supplies for our morning fix, and searched for the Keurig machine, it was stored away labeled broken. That was inconvenient. Overall, if you add in all the host communications about guest responsibilities, rules and checkout to do’s, more than we normally receive during a stay, it was not the best experience or value.”

“First when we arrived on Friday. 4pm check-in time. The unit was dirty, it was not prepared. It was only ready at 5:38pm which is the first issue. Then The living room AC did not work, with temperature in the living room at 85deg. For the boys sleeping in the bunk beds it was very uncomfortable. To stay in the living room in the evening, also very uncomfortable. The override button did not work. It worked for maybe 1 minute, but then back to nothing. We understand the AC guy was there on Saturday but the AC was still out of order with the same high temperatures. We had to turn the bedroom AC to as low as we could and use a fan to circulate the cold air out from the bedroom into the living rom Which also made it very cold to sleep in the bedroom. The remote for the fan and light in the living room was out of battery and not working. So managed to get new batteries and the. The smoke detector was disconnected as it kept giving alarm of low batteries. No spare batteries available.”

“Construction at the resort was minimized in the listing compared to the actual amount of construction that was going on. Some pictures showed parts of the resort, preconstruction and working, when they were actually falling down and could not be used. There was major construction right when we stepped out onto our floor with signs stating “Hardhat Area”, which did not feel safe. Washer and dryer did not work.”

“Not what we expected.. we were disappointed with our experience at his property. When we arrived, there was existing damage that had not been disclosed in the listing photos or communication. While a small refund was provided for that issue, there were several other concerns that made the stay uncomfortable. The pools advertised as heated were not heated, the building felt like it was deteriorating, and we found small cockroaches in the kitchen. The main door did not close properly, causing us to sleep poorly, and the walls and bathroom door were also in poor condition. Overall, the listing did not match what was advertised and did not feel worth the amount we paid.”
