Purgatory Resort

“We stayed during the week and it was very quiet. The resort was shut down except for weekends when we went, so the lifts weren't running, no Mountain biking, no alpine slide.... so it was really quiet and peaceful. We hiked up the mountain and back down and sat in the hot tub. It was nice and relaxing. We weren't looking for activity. The studio apartment was clean and just as pictured.”

“Great location. Gym and pool make it worth it. About 1 hr from airport. Beautiful drive up. Quiet even with folks all around. Easy walk to pool and slopes.”

“It’s overall a very good location and a very clean space. It’s a little small being a single room with a Murphy bed and a pullout couch. So unless you plan on stowing the couch and bed every day, it is very crowded. However it was still a good experience.”

“Great location with the best mountain views and easy access to Purgatory’s summer activities (Alpine Slide, Alpine Coaster, chairlift, pool, hot tubs). Comy bed and pillows, nice balcony. Kitchen includes a refrigerator, freezer, stovetop, coffee maker, pots and pans (not listed), plus an ice machine in the building. No A/C, but a box fan is provided and opening the windows sorta helped. Water refill station downstairs & parking garage Cons: Musty smell upon arrival. Old, worn carpet (wore shoes the entire stay). Hair left in the shower. dim bathroom lighting. Dated unit. Older TV with basic cable, Blu-ray wouldn’t work, there was a Fire Stick remote but no Fire Stick. next to the parking lot and maintenance area, so expect traffic, work trucks, and heavy equipment. I was awakened around 5 a.m. by a work truck. Coffee maker brewed very weak coffee, and the 4th-floor hallway smelled like cigarettes mixed with Febreze. Overall, fine- but at $540 for 2 nights, I expected cleaner, quieter”

“A beautiful clean space that was perfect for my weekend in Purgatory. Bedding was comfortable. The shower ran out of hot water on a couple occasions but my stay was otherwise wonderful.”

“Place was nice, clean and loved the amenities! One suggestion would be get darker window shades the room has an out side light you can see all night and the room very light when sun rises.”

“Pros: Location was great, walkable to slopes with small kids. Laundry room was right next door. Cons: Place wasn’t ready until after 4pm and had not been cleaned. Not huge deal but after driving 7 hrs we just wanted to get in and fix dinner. Throughout our stay we noticed most dishes and silverware were dirty and we washed everything before using. Garbage disposal didn’t work and sink/dishwasher had really yucky smell. Master shower was the only one that had warm water. Second bed was propped up with firewood on one corner. We could also hear the people above us walking around a lot. Overall, great location but severely overpriced. We love purgatory and the staff was friendly as always but not super responsive to our issues except they did send cleaners right away after we got in. It was a busy week. We have stayed in other ski-in/out places during the same busy week at purgatory that are much nicer and more comfortable. For over $1000 per night we expected much much more.”
