This was a beutiful home in the sense that it had a beautiful location , however the inside had a moldy smell that hit you the moment you entered . There also was a sticky wet feeling to the carpet. The front gate ( ment for safety ) was broken and you had to just push to get in and also the sliding door to the back yard would not lock . There was also a sign on the kitchen counter that said for safety reasons and recent break ins in area to lock the doors ( however doors and gate broken ) so as a single mom of three left me feeling unsafe and we did not stay more than a night even though I paid a very high price . The communication was great however the home needs a check fo mold with the smell it has . Once that is looked at and doors are fixed it would be worth the stay . I have never left a bad review before , but this was a huge letdown and affected our whole trip . I wish to prevent this for someone else .

Our family had a wonderful time. Despite the weather not being perfect the place was incredible, very comfortable. A classic 1934 style historic home.

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Kailua! The location right on the beach was absolutely beautiful and just as amazing as the photos. This was our first time staying in Kailua, and we loved being away from the crowds and getting more of a local feel. One thing we especially loved was that there were so many shopping and food options within about a mile of the property, yet the home itself still felt peaceful and away from it all. It really was the best of both worlds. The home was very clean, comfortable, and met all of our needs. We traveled with multiple couples, so having a bathroom for each bedroom was a huge plus and made the stay so convenient. The host was also very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our trip. The weather during our stay was perfect for a home without AC, and the multiple fans throughout the house were definitely helpful. We could see it potentially being less comfortable during hotter weather, but it worked well for us during our trip.

Everything was just as the photos depicted, but even BETTER! The expansive lawn leading from the back patio and continuing all the way to the beach felt as if we were guests on a grand estate. The children loved to romp and play on the well-manicured lawn, doing cartwheels, enjoying picnics, all while the adults either joined in or kept watch over them while sunning on the patio. The pool was perfectly sized so that both kiddies and parents had a great time and the landscaping around the pool was nicely done. The layout of the home was thoughtfully done and afforded privacy for the guests occupying any of the three bedrooms, which were all ensuite. The bathroom amenities were top of the line as were the vast array of kitchenware, from cutlery to dishware to appliances. Private Homes Hawaii estate manager, Steven, was very responsive. Everything went very smoothly and although we did not need to call upon him for any problem issues, we felt assured that he would have taken of it.

This house was the BEST house we ever stayed at! We highly recommend staying here. The kitchen is well stocked, pool and hot tub were spotless and the grill was even spotless! Lots of beautifully decorated rooms, cozy beds for our family of 14 from 3 to 73 years! You won’t be disappointed with your stay here even if the worst Kona Low in 75 years decides to arrive in the islands! Mahalo for making this home available, we loved it.

The layout of this house was perfect for our extended family vacation. The spaces were large and conducive to being together or having alone time. Amazingly stocked kitchen and plenty of beach towels and blankets for all of us. Easy access to beach through neighboring driveway. Parking ended up being fine for our 3 SUVs. Mahalo for a great stay.

This stay was fantastic. Looks exactly as photographed, very private, and a very helpful host. The kitchen was especially well stocked for our needs, and the beach was just a 2 minute walk from the property. Would absolutely come back again!

All 7 of us loved the house! Every time one of us walked into the big room facing the ocean (for 6 days) we would stop and say WOW! The view is just gorgeous! There is a large binder full of helpful instructions, recommendations, things to do, etc. It was enormously helpful. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Hale Oahu was nothing short of spectacular! It was the perfect home base for us to spend time with family, with many comfortable dining and lounging options around the house, plus the amazing grassy backyard for playing sports and games! And all of that is just steps away from beautiful Kailua Beach…we were in absolute heaven! They had all of the essentials for little kids as well, from playpens to high chairs, to toddler-size cups and plates. The property manager, Alia, was so kind and communicative. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Our family had a wonderful experience staying at this luxurious home. Not only was the home clean, but so were the pool and hot tub! We especially appreciated the welcome basket filled with Hawaiian foods. The host was responsive and super helpful. The house was super close to the beach, a very easy walk. This space is the perfect spot for anyone looking to live like a king for a week.
