Port A Escapes

Port A Escapes's guest rating of 4.64 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

We loved that we had plenty to do in our area. The grandkids loved the pool, my daughter and son in law made lots of new memories on the pier with some fishing and dolphin watching and we were close to the beach where we all enjoyed ourselves. We have always been a fan of Port A and will definitely keep this place marked as one to return to. Thank you to everyone who made our trip memorable.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. The host was responsive, friendly, and made check-in very easy. The location was convenient and quiet, making it a perfect place to relax.

I hate giving bad reviews.Very narrow spiral staircase which made it extremely difficult to carry luggage upstairs to the bedrooms. We had to put a towel at the step at the bottom of the stairs so we didn’t fall or trip. There’s 2 parking spots but guests can only use one because the owners store their boat in the other spot. They advertise “boat slip”, but it will cost you $155 to use it. Guess the owners don’t have one for guests to use. The seating in the living room was like patio furniture. The loveseat is actually a sleeper but it was broken. There was a dead roach in the living room. Every time the air conditioner came on it sounded like thunder, woke us up every time it came on. It is very dated & needs updating. The light fixture in the living room is a spotlight pointing straight down. Bring steak knives if you plan to eat something that requires knives. There’s 1 closet in the house. They don’t have outside trash cans. You have to walk your trash across property to dumpster

The condo itself was very nice, clean, and spacious, and we did enjoy our stay. However, there were several inconveniences that made the trip more stressful than expected, especially for the price. The biggest issue was parking. Only two parking spaces were provided for a rental that sleeps up to seven guests. We had three vehicles, and finding additional parking was very stressful because nearly everywhere else had towing signs posted. We also experienced two power outages during our stay, both occurring late at night just as we were trying to go to sleep. Once we located the breaker box, we were able to restore power ourselves, but it was still a frustrating experience. The beach access was another drawback. While the condo is not extremely far from the beach, it is a fairly long walk if you are carrying chairs, coolers, or traveling with children. If you prefer to drive onto the beach, the nearest vehicle entrance is about five miles. Really recommend for only a family of 4-5.

overall it was a nice place to stay. The balconies need some serious attention. The downstairs one was unsafe when it rained. The upstairs ones had no furniture, and The floor was coming apart. The listing did not mention the pool was under renovation.

The place was nice. Backyard was completely closed off. There was some minor annoyance. Picking up key from separate location and having to arrange a lockbox due to arriving late. The gate lock didn’t work. We didn’t have a use for the gate lock but a key was provided. It could’ve been cleaner.
