Poipu Connection Realty's guest rating of 4.79 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“My wife and I had a great trip to Kauai, it was nice to have a clean quiet place to return to after each adventure! The balcony was wonderful to enjoy the sunrises on”airbnb

“Great views, place was as described. Everything worked, nothing was a problem. It’s not grand, but it is a great location and a good value.”airbnb

“Dead bugs everywhere and there was a sewage smell in the room. He didn’t respond to our questions and concerns. Wouldn’t recommend this place or host at all. This was our honeymoon but Kauai is nice and beautiful.”airbnb

“Location was great but there were a few issues with our stay: - the lock for the front door doesn’t lock. The key barely fits and is hard to use - water temperature in shower is too hot - there isn’t body wash in the bathroom. We came home at night and expected to be able to shower, and realized there was literally nothing in the bathroom. We had to go to the store to buy some. It would’ve been nice to have this in the listing — you only specified there wasn’t shampoo. - the door of the bathroom came off its hinges often, and it was difficult to open and close it without taking it off. - the AC dripped a lot of water while it was on. We had to put towel on the floor to prevent it from pooling up and splashing on us - the bathroom sink mat was not cleaned and you could see the dirt from the previous guests. We hope that you fix these issues for future guests”airbnb

“Fabulous views and truly an amazing experience being able to watch the turtles play below every day. The place was good, although not the most comfy furniture and a very firm mattress. As others noted, the ACs in both rooms worked perfectly. My only complaints were that the place could use a deeper cleaning and the dishwasher was broken when we arrived (no warning ahead or response after notification). The location was good and the views truly special. Those two aspects definitely made the stay.”airbnb

“Location was amazing. Right across the street from a place where you could go sit on the beach without having to park. Umbrella and chair provided in Airbnb which was a great way to enjoy the beach. I was disappointed with the AC. There are plenty of places to stay in Hawaii without AC and I had specifically chosen to stay at a place with it as my #1 priority. The AC was not functioning well and was extremely loud. Loud to the point even with earplugs I had to turn it off at night to sleep and honestly, with it on wasn’t making much of a difference anyways. I did a lot of hiking and wanted to come back for a few hours mid day to relax, and felt like I couldn’t comfortably do that because of how hot it was even with AC on high. The host did respond and offered to have it replaced but I initially tried to report this on check in and didn’t hear back about that until 15 hours later at which point I decided to deal with it instead of risk dealing with a repair issue and people in my room.”airbnb

“The unit was as described, but we encountered a significant issue with black mold in the AC unit upon arrival. We immediately reported it and were told it would be cleaned or replaced within two days, but no one ever came and we were without AC for our entire stay. The issue was never resolved and follow-up messages went unanswered. We enjoyed our stay otherwise, but were disappointed by the lack of communication and compensation for unusable amenity.”airbnb

“Overall this place had everything we needed. Chairs and boogie boards and towels were provided and was across the street from a beach. The beach wasn’t great for swimming but we enjoyed walking on the path. The location overall was great but it’s not super walkable as there aren’t good sidewalks so we ended up driving most places. The place was clean and had great kitchen supplies, however we did have a few issues with cockroaches. When we messaged the host about them midway through our trip we didn’t get any response which was unfortunate.”airbnb

“Beware - this host uses multiple platforms to book his many properties and encourages guests to not use AirBnB to save fees. The problem in my case was what the host claimed to be a double-booking, and as a result asked me about 5 hours before I was due to check-in to move to a different and less desirable place for 1 day of my 4 day reservation. Totally unacceptable, and frankly, highly stressful. I contacted AirBnB directly and miraculously I was then allowed to keep my reservation - something the host told me would not be possible when he called me initially. The place itself is beautiful and the location is second to none. However, because this host is so untrustworthy, I would NOT recommend staying at any of his properties if you want peace of mind in your reservation.”airbnb
