“Came here for a last minute end-of-summer vacation. Check-in is a bit inconvenient as we arrived on a Sunday, had to stop at the rental office first, and were instructed to come back the next day during business hours to complete check-in. They were very responsive when we asked where bedding for the Murphy bed was located and where the WiFi password could be found. We only stayed one night, instead of the 3 that we booked, due to rain along with not being able to withstand the dirty floors or the dated bathroom…but I am very particular. They offered to check for another location, but we had already booked a Disney resort. No type of refund was offered, though.”

“We really enjoyed the view and location of the condo! The balcony had chairs and a table & a drying rack. Though I’d say the balcony was the best part, given that I’m not sure I would stay here again. The pros: balcony views, outdoor seating, saved parking spaces, on the beach, walkable to coffee & food. Plenty of towels. Beach chairs and umbrellas. Cooler. The cons: 1. Noise issues. the walls are VERY thin. We heard every noise, kids running upstairs, doors being slammed, people yelling, toilet seats slamming, tvs, etc. It became an issue when we started hearing dogs bark all through the night and the owners of the dogs started yelling 2. One other minor problem was the day we checked in, the floors were covered with sand. In every room and in the bed! 3. Not enough guest parking/ people taking guest spots. One day my brother was going to come to our condo to walk on the beach with us for just 1 hour, unfortunately Every single spot had been taken. 4. The bed is very uncomfortable”

“The location was great, the view was excellent, and the condo itself was awesome. The only downside was Plumlee’s check-in process. Since we arrived after hours, we had to stop at their office, retrieve a packet from a lockbox, and then drive to the actual property. The door code was handwritten on a piece of paper, even though it easily could have been texted or emailed. We were also required to return to their office during business hours to complete the check-in process, which was inconvenient and not how we wanted to spend part of our vacation. The office staff were very nice and helpful, but Plumlee’s logistics felt unnecessarily outdated. In their defense, Airbnb may not be their typical market. Overall, we still really enjoyed the condo, the view, and the location.”

“Location and views are hard to beat. The open floor plan made the space feel comfortable. The beach itself is beautiful, and the pool, while on the smaller side, was nice. A few things worth flagging for future guests and the host: the mattresses are in need of replacement; they're overdue for an upgrade. The bathroom door (jack-and-jill style off the bedroom) is awkward to use and quite noisy. The water dispenser in the kitchen has some buildup/clog issues that cause it to spray in the wrong direction (and it looks kinda gross). Overall the unit could use some general updating at $400 per night, though it was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One important heads-up: on check-out day, we got locked out immediately at 10am as we were making a trip to the parking lot with some of our stuff. We had to call an emergency number to get back in to get the rest of our stuff.”

“My family has visited this area for the last several years. Even staying in Sandcastle 1 last year (rented thru a different host). We have paid way less and gotten a lot more for our money. Nasty moldy beach chairs (they take the nice ones renters leave behind and will rent those to you). I happen to think that is horrible business. Zero beach towels, the beds are not comfortable and all the bedding is very thin. Towels are all very stiff and scratchy along with the extra blankets. There isn’t a soft blanket in the unit. Every dish we pulled from the cabinets were dirty. We expect to wash what we use but these dishes had never been washed before putting them away. There were no convenience items at all for a flying traveling family. We didn’t call to report anything because I refuse to allow my family’s one week to be interrupted with someone coming to do what should have been done prior to our arrival. There are just to many choices of rentals to be unsatisfied to this extent.”

“The location of this condo was great. It is right by a trolly stop and walking distance to restaurants and coffee shop. The check in was a hassle as you have to check in 2-3 miles from the actual condo. The condo lacked essentials like shampoo/conditioner, coffee, beach towels. The pool was warm but it is right next to the parking lot. The beach here is really nice. Overall our stay was just okay.”

“I’ll start by saying the location of the property itself was amazing. It was larger than expected. The lady that checked us in was friendly. I wasn’t expecting to be called for my information but as we were walking into the airport, I was told they needed my information prior to check in for an agreement and even said Airbnb would flag it if sent through the app. It was uncomfortable. The check in office is not walkable and you’re required to go there before the property. The fees were not very clear. There’s a mandatory “damage fee” that isn’t included in the listing. I submitted a request for the fees that were not advertised in the listing and within a day I had a review posted from Plumlee (I don’t know what it says). I don’t normally do reviews but feel like there may be some bias coming. While I was uncomfortable with the check in process- the ocean front property was just what we needed. Glad we rented a golf cart though as it’s not accessible to much without transportation.”

“The place was awesome! Super cool inside. Great beachside location, close to good restaurants and lots to do. Check-in was unnecessarily complicated and we were unable to get into our place for about an hour. Other than that this place was great for a family of 6 with 2 babies.”

“This listing was not accurate and was incredibly frustrated by the lack of communication with the property. The nice 4 person patio is set was not there, just a hard plastic table that was hard to sit around. There was construction going on in the parking garage below the building that had clearly been going on for a long time, but it wasn’t communicated until 2 days before our stay (past the refund period) . They offered a discount but it doesn’t make up for the fact that during our 5 day stay we were woken up by construction sounds and could t really hear the ocean from our balcony because of it. I would have just booked somewhere else to ensure a quieter stay. They also only left 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 people for 5 days. So we unexpectedly ran out and had to go buy more. We also indicated there wells going to be 4 of us but there were no pillows for the Murphy bed that pulled out and so we had to redistribute the pillows from the master bedroom.”

“We arrived after office had closed on a Saturday at 4:00. Had to drive to another address to get codes and parking sticker. It was annoying. But, everything worked out and the proximity to the beach was worth it all.”
