Platinum Vacations of Destin
4.73Visit website
Platinum Vacations of Destin's guest rating of 4.73 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“This was a father son trip, and we had a great time in Baytown! This condo was as described, looks just like the pictures, very clean. Getting in was a little tricky as first, there are two parking garages side by side, so of course I went to the wrong one. Then I couldn't figure out the gate code for a few minutes but after digging through my reservation I finally found it. The view from the balcony overlooks the parking garage, and you could see a little glimpse of the pool. I only have two negative things to say about my experience at this location. Number 1, parking on Friday and Saturday after 5PM is virtually impossible in the parking garage. Number 2, I had to park in a spot that vaguely labeled "golf carts only" after driving around over and hour, so the next day I had a GIANT orange sticker, with basically super glue for adhesive stuck to my driver side window. That's so tacky to put a warning sticker on a car that takes two days to get off, after paying a premium price.”airbnb

“Place was exactly liked the photos. I would recommend. A few issues we had.... Parking was an issue, normal F350 will not fit. Ask about the actual "clearance" to get in parking lot/garage. Bring your essentials (toiletries, trash bags, dishsoap, paper goods), there wasn't enough for a 10 day stay and 6 people. Also, luggage carts are an issue, not enough for the large complex.”airbnb

“From the moment we walked in this place got our feet black, they clean the next day but our feet were still turning black! They advertised this as a Luxury condo it was anything but! Peeling on cabinets, ceiling, nasty headboard, plugs hanging out of wall, dishwasher not installed correctly! Patched walls…. Just so so bad.”airbnb

“HOA could take better care of the pool area. Weeds in cracks, and bathrooms run down. Change out toilet seat in the guest bathroom. Need a chef’s knife in the kitchen”airbnb

“We had a nice stay overall at this Westwinds unit. This was our fourth time in the building, but our first booking through Platinum. The condo itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The beds were great, the view was incredible (as expected for Westwinds), and the golf cart was a fantastic perk that worked perfectly. Check-in was also very easy, which we appreciated. That said, a few things took away from the experience. The $84 early check-in fee felt excessive, especially since the unit was vacant the night before. Supplies were very limited (only a couple of dish and laundry pods), so we had to purchase basics ourselves. The pool was also not properly heated due to maintenance issues, and we weren’t informed ahead of time or offered any accommodation—we only learned about alternative heated pools after reaching out. Overall, we’d consider booking with Platinum again only if there was a clear difference in price compared to booking directly through Sandestin.”airbnb

“The house was clean and location was good. It is right at the entrance of the community and close to a shopping strip. A few things of this trip stood out and would probably not book this location again. My family and I travel to Destin about once a year and have stayed in San Destin at least 6 times. Every property we stayed at always provides at least the bare essentials: soap shampoo conditioner. We stayed 5 nights with family of 5 (2 Adults/3kids). They provided a single roll of paper towels and single small hotel style soap shampoo/conditioner that is essentially good for one or two uses. We had to purchase basic toiletries. For a BEACH VACATION, this is the first time we encountered a Airbnb here that didn’t even provide pool towels or beach towels. We also rented this house with sole purpose of using both golf carts to travel back and forth from the beach with small children needing naps. The of the golf carts would not hold a charge- not a deal breaker but not what we paid for.”airbnb

“First thing that I will say was the place was great. The bathroom door lock was broken but it was fine. There was mention of getting access to a golf cart via text but then this location didnt have one. But I'm finding these condos arent disclosing when amenities are shut down. Theres really no excuse for not disclosing a highlighted amenity that is closed unless it happened within a 2 day period. It gives off scam vibes. The jacuzzi was down for at least a few weeks. That information was intentionally held back. Transparency is really important to paying customers.”airbnb

“Never using platinum again/ Your customer service sucks s terrible am you put us at esteemed risk stating “new golf cart “ then informing me almost 5 hours after check in that there was no emergency brake - my daughter was terrified after taking golf cart out and parking when it rolled into street (we have a golf cart and she knows well how to use…but not without a brake!!) she was put in harms way without me being notified of issue hours later - according to host , they stated that there were weights in the cart to place behind wheels …No weights were in cart - nothing to hold it in place except a paint can I found in HVAC room - no issues were resolved - then after do ding tires were flat on bikes (bc golf cart was safety issue) I was told they wouldn’t come to fix bc I started an issue about the golf cart - Do not rent from this place - golf cart is not “brand new” and bike tires are flat”airbnb

“We just returned from a week's stay with a group of 13. The description of the house is poor. To get to the washer and dryer you have to walk through a bedroom. The jacuzzi tub does NOT actually work. The house has a plethora of fancy decorative kitchen items, but has a TERRIBLE selection of adequate kitchen utensils, pots/pans, no pot holders and ZERO plastic containers with lids. Any movement upstairs in the loft area sounded like a herd of elephants. The 2 golf carts we had were convenient except that the yellow one was dead and wouldn't charge, and the brakes on the black one didn’t work. Ultimately we would NOT stay here again! ** After writing this review I received a message from the host stating we caused $625 worth of damages and we would be charged. They are stating we broke towel holders, toilet paper holders, damaged walls and the end pieces of the stairs and broke the king bed frames. WHAT A JOKE! Our group did not cause any DAMAGE to this home!! **”airbnb

“Three of the chairs on the lower outside seating area were broken. No ice machine or things to make ice.”airbnb
