“My wife and I arrived later in the evening to check in. Went to bed woke up and discovered a few things about the rental. The bathroom was disgusting, dust, gunk other people’s hair you name it all on the tile. My wife had to clean the toilet to use it due to gunk being on the seat. Counters were not wiped down. looked inside the in unit washer dryer and discovered it was also dirty. There was a broken window and a window blind made out of paper as a quick fix. I paid $100 for a “romance” package that ended up only being a $10-15 bottle of wine and three chocolate bars. The towels were old, torn and had bleach stains. As I write this I am waiting for a resolution on the host part who had been kind communicative and responsive until I had a complaint and requested a partial refund. Overall the stay was not worth the money and had us leaving as fast as possible home to take a shower and feel clean. We have had many good experiences with Airbnb this is not one of them.”

“We had a few problems with our stay. Upon arriving, we had trouble getting in using the keypad, you have to really hold the door closed and punch the keypad in to open and close, but that wasn’t communicated to us. We also found a cockroach in one of our rooms, mold on our bedsheets, and found it disconcerting that we weren’t able to reach anyone about the keypad lock when we initially called the property manager’s number. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless it’s for a very short stay.”

“The apt. is nice, cleaned and inviting. The neighbors weren't loud.. The couch is uncomfortable with the cushions being worn. There were some minor things like getting correct wifi password, getting the correct access code for lock when I was trying to get in. Other than that it was a good stay and location to our event was extremely nice. I wanted to give a 4.5 star rating, but that's not an option. Thank u David”

“This place may be fine for a night or two, and the area felt safe, but I wouldn’t recommend it for an extended stay. Several appliances weren’t working upon arrival, and the unit did not appear clean. The floors were dirty, there were stains in the bath tub, the air conditioner blew out tons of dust for weeks even after maintenance came to look at it among a few things. When I requested a mid-stay cleaning, I was told I’d be charged for a basic surface wipe-down and laundry. The combo washer/dryer barely worked. The walls are paper-thin, so expect to hear neighbors and pets. I also experienced repeated TV and Wi-Fi issues that were never fully resolved despite attempts to troubleshoot. I ended up having to do much of the problem-solving myself. I feel the price did not reflect the experience I had. I will say David was responsive and friendly but I would not stay here again.”

“Originally booked a better place in safe neighborhood. David changed booking 6 months after it was made and only 3 months to arrival. Forced to take replacement “accommodation” b/c all other reasonable places were booked for event we were also attending. Home was in a very shady and dangerous part of ABQ. It was old and dirty. Most important was the pictures that were left OUT of listing. Tub faucets didn’t work properly. Run itself was cracked and coming apart. Shelves in bathroom were stained and looked dirty and gross. Kitchen had ZERO necessities for even making a cup of coffee. Only spice available was pepper-not even salt. Beds and pillows weren’t even completely dressed. Despite legitimate complaints host tried to refuse any refund. AirBnB support got involved & has put host’s account on internal review. Classic bait and switch. Baited with cute small but nice home in good neighborhood and switched to the crap apartment we got stuck with in dangerous neighborhood.”

“The place is filthy and infested with roaches. The bed sheets were filthy and covered in stains so was the couch. The couch had white stains on it. The toilet was covered in hair and same with bathtub. There were dead roaches everywhere and a few live roaches. Couldn’t even stay 20 minutes, I felt dirty just trying to sit on the couch while we figured out plan b. We drove 13 hours from Houston to New Mexico and were extremely disappointed when we walked in and saw the condition of the unit. It’s extremely outdated as well and there were stains all over the wall.”

“It didn’t go well from the start. After clarifying the door code more than once after receiving it ( we were asked to move to a different casita shortly after making the booking) so wanted to make sure that the codes were correct for the casita we were asked to switch to. David assured me it was. It was not. Had to call to get the right code. I’ve never stayed in such an ill equipped air bnb before. 1 coffee cup for 3 adults, no salt n pepper, no sponges to wipe the benches or dishes. Once I brought this to their attention it was rectified. Bare bones in every way to say the least. The dishwasher didn’t work and was filthy inside. Was told it wouid be replaced, it was not. The second bathroom’s toilet didn’t flush. Was “fixed” but wasn’t. Everyone just used the one bathroom because the second toilet immediately went back to not flushing. The bottom fitted sheet on the king size bed was too small and kept on coming off the mattress. Really annoying. It was cheap in every way.”

“This was one of the most disappointing Airbnb experiences I’ve had. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our plans changed and I called ahead to respectfully ask whether there were any options for a partial reimbursement or modifying the reservation. David initially agreed to refund half, but when I asked if we could instead stay one night and cancel the second, his tone completely changed. He responded, “This isn’t a hotel, and if you don’t like it then you get nothing.” I was shocked by how unprofessional the conversation became. After I mentioned there was no need for attitude, he revoked the partial reimbursement entirely and said we would receive nothing back. I understand cancellation policies exist, but this could have been handled better. I ended up being charged for two nights I never stayed at. Overall, the way this situation was handled left me extremely disappointed and uncomfortable. Another manager of the property Ashlee was very professional. Be sure you won’t cancel”

“I found my stay unsatisfactory. The instructions were unclear - they gave me the wrong code for entry, didn’t say where to park (I got a ticket after being assured I wouldn’t). The kitchen lacked a lot of basic amenities. There were a lot of ants and cockroaches. It is ran by a property company, and I do not feel that they care for their properties the way other Airbnb hosts do. I would not recommend staying here. It is kind of walkable to downtown, but the neighborhood wasn’t particularly safe.”

“Needs to be stocked better there is not even enough silverware in the house had a group eat had to wash the forks and spoons so the others could eat - TV is so old it’s hard to see the picture - hot tub was nasty - poor value for the price”
