“Beautiful cabin. Should be noted that they do not provide shampoo, conditioner, coffee, laundry soap, etc. Given it is far from town that was a surprise and I ended up spending $50 at a local market on supplies that are usually standard at an air bnb.”

“*****PLACE IS OVERPRICED - KNOW THIS WHEN BOOKING***** -Host takes 3-12+ hours to respond. -Location is directly on the Main Street that runs into town - you will need to back your car into the driveway just to pull out safely. ?There is not room to two cars in the driveway due to overgrowth. -There is an odd odor to the house - its like a masked musk smell. -Only one bedroom has a mirror, Each room has a space for one -We were left 8 sheets of paper towel to use, asked host where more was, told to get more for cleaning closet, cleaning closet was locked - asked host about this - received request for a phone call from host - host never called after giving them my number - whole interaction took 2+ days -Bathroom had dirt on counter and dead bugs found on floor in house -You will be expected to perform chores when staying at this location per host request *****PLACE IS OVERPRICED - KNOW THIS WHEN BOOKING***** *****PLACE IS OVERPRICED - KNOW THIS WHEN BOOKING***** PLACE IS OVERPRICED!!!!”

“Great little house for a small group. Very nice looking interior. Listing states the house has AC. This is very misleading because there is only a tiny little portable AC unit that sits at the top of the stairs. The property manager did answer my call and bring us fans but it was still very warm. I wouldn’t recommend this place during the warm weather season.”

“House was clean and as described. Very noisy area with vehicles driving past constantly. While we had no major issues, there were a few items where responsiveness would’ve really helped from the management to make the stay better. The communication was so slow that we found there was no point to reaching out. Ultimately, everything worked out and the property worked for our family.”

“I wanted to rate this place higher. They did all the small things well but failed on the big picture items. On check in we found a full load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher making us concerned about how well the whole house was cleaned. It was also 80-85F in the house. We gave the mini splits a couple of hours to work, but they were no longer cooling and we messaged the host. They assured us they would send the maintenance guy out in the morning. They didn’t show up. Mid afternoon I sent another message and called the number. At that point, they finally decided to purchase 3 portable AC units. We also found out that there have been multiple issues with the mini splits over the last year. I’m just glad we weren’t there in winter when they broke. After that debacle there was no follow up to check in with us, no offer for money back for the 24 hours we spent without AC during a heat wave, and barely an apology. The location is nice but we won’t be back. 3/5”

“We had a great time here and loved the space. It is quiet and peaceful. However, communication with the listing manager was very poor. On the day of our check in, we not receive check in instructions or directions to the house. Eventually, just a few hours before check in, we called the listing manager to ask for them. Before this they had not responded to our message asking for check in info for over 24 hours.”

“Our internet stopped working so I had to call to get the code. None of the walls including the bathroom reached the ceiling so you could hear everything. The AC didnt work and we had our dogs there. When we called the office and property manager nobody responded so we didnt have AC the entire stay!”

“Place was nice, super clean house but the tap water smelt like rotten eggs. I told the host they said it was well water (which is fine) and that If you let it run the smell goes away (it didn’t). My thing is if you knew we were coming why not come by quickly and let it run yourself, make sure the smell goes away so it doesn’t smell terrible when we walk into the house after a long day to take a shower.”

“The house is nice, and in a central location for seeing Pictured Rocks, and the nearby ice formations. It is as pictured. The rooms are clean, but small. The house is nicely appointed. It is run by a management company, though, so you won't ever see or communicate with the owner, and you won't find the place shoveled out. You will need to sign an additional management company contract AFTER booking with Airbnb. Note that check-in and check-out times are 4 and 10, a bit more restrictive than most, and, in the guest book, they threaten a $30 per hour fee if you overstay, and another one if you don't get your garbage bag into the cans outside the (unshoveled) drive.”
