The cottage itself matched the island’s spirit perfectly. Quaint, unhurried, and full of character — the kind of place that feels like it belongs to another era. Wake up to living room views of the Gulf, and fall asleep to the sound of waves rolling in from your own backyard. That’s not a feature, that’s a gift.”

“This quaint listing is nestled on a historic compound that was formerly owned by the acclaimed du Pont family. The home itself is very peaceful and spacious. It’s perfect for a group trip and has plenty of linens and towels to make the stay comfortable. I especially enjoyed the veranda/sun room toward the front of the home. When you exit the back door, you are a mere 2 minute jaunt from the ocean. I found it nice to start my morning with a quick dip. Any question we had about the house or island was always quickly and thoughtfully answered by our hosts. I definitely recommend staying here if you find yourself lucky enough to visit Gasparilla Island.”

“An absolute gem in Boca Grande. The home is perfectly located near the beach, with an exquisite layout featuring every amenity a family could seek on a beach vacation. The top-down layout (kitchen and living space on the top level, with bedrooms a level down, is perfect to maximize the view of the Gulf. The decks on the second and third levels provide a beautiful spot to relax and take in the beauty of the water. The pool is perfectly designed, with a shallow splash area for young kids, a separate spa area and a section that’s perfect for swimming laps. The kitchen was fully stocked. The home is outfitted with ample beach towels, chairs and toys. A perfect way to enjoy Boca Grande. Can’t say enough good things about the house. The host was proactive and responsive when we had a question, a very professional group.”
