Orange Vacation Homes
4.61Visit website
Orange Vacation Homes's guest rating of 4.61 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“You get what you pay for…. It is right on the beach but make sure you do a Google Maps of the street view and really pay attention to the pictures. We also had an incident with the property management team forcing their way into the apartment. This wasn’t the hosts fault by any means but something to be aware of prior to staying here.”airbnb

“My family and I have traveled to Orlando every Fourth of July for the past eight years, and this was our first stay with Orange Vacation Homes. The home itself was nice, clean, and comfortable. However, it is directly across from a major construction site, with constant noise and construction visible from nearly every window. This was not disclosed in the Airbnb listing, and had we known, we would have booked elsewhere. The outdoor patio also lacked a TV, so we couldn't enjoy watching the FIFA World Cup as planned. We also paid over $100 for a grill, which wasn't delivered until the following afternoon and arrived without a propane tank. While the host was responsive, the explanation that it was a holiday weekend was disappointing. My biggest concern is the lack of transparency in the listing. Guests should be informed about the nearby construction so they can make an informed booking decision.”airbnb

“Okay so here’s the thing: Pros: -house was in a fairly new neighborhood -Simple check in -plenty of cookware -club house amenities are included for guest (lazy river, pool, water slide, gym etc.) Cons: The power went out during our stay—-in June so it was extremely HOT. We contacted the clubhouse and the host and they told us to google power outages near us and that’s how we would get updates. So it didn’t seem like a concern to them that it was hot and we had no A/C for the day and we spent most of the day at pool or out of house since it was so hot. Also a lot of the furniture needs deep cleaning or changing from wear and tear. The bar seats are stained, and the outdoor pool furniture needs cleaning. Also we were sure to put all of the towels in the laundry for them, removed all trash, load dish washer, and clean up but we were still later accused of owing $400 for dirty towels 10 days after we left?!?! Lastly, the house is VERY far from parks.. 30mins to Disney, 50+to universal”airbnb

“They were slow to respond, there were dead bugs everywhere, the dishes were not clean and the gate going into the community was either hard to get through or someone would wait for you to open the gate and sneak in forcing us to do a U-turn and scan again to get in the gate. After all of that they’re not trying to fleece more money out of us for “stained linens”. We absolutely did not stain any linens. Terrible place to stay and terrible company to work with.”airbnb

“Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing Airbnb experiences I’ve had. We stayed for eight nights, and problems started immediately. The gate access address provided was incorrect, so we had to figure out how to enter the property ourselves after trying multiple entrances. We booked this home specifically for the heated pool and paid extra for it, but the heater never worked during our stay. I contacted management every day, but the issue was never resolved. Communication was frustrating, and staff seemed unfamiliar with the property, repeatedly telling me to “turn on the spa” even though there was no spa connected to the pool. The home also had maintenance issues, including a noisy master bedroom fan, uncomfortable mattress, and unpleasant carpet odor. To make matters worse, after requesting a refund for the pool heater issue, I received a message asking for a five-star review to help increase visibility for their listings, yet my refund request has gone unanswered.”airbnb

“Please avoid this place like the plague the carpets were filthy. They were rolled and loose. The screen door was broken the dishwasher when you open the door was coming out of the cabinet. They stopped over the first week said they would be back and did not ever come back to fix that the place smells the air conditioner did not work properly. There are spots on the walls. The location is super noisy from the highway. The master bedroom is freezing cold and the remainder of the house is hot. There was zero amenities when we got there no coffee to start out with one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom nothing in the bathrooms. The floors were filthy. I had to go out and buy mop myself to clean the floors the carpeting had black marks all over the place and they did come and clean that but it was still filthy and old like 30 40 years old. The pool is not maintained well nor is the Jacuzzi the place needs painting they switch me to this location from another and had no explanation.”airbnb

“We rented this home for our weekend away. The house itself is spacious and nice. Sadly at a deeper level, 3 of the 5 showers in the home were unusable. Due to trickling water pressure, we were unable to even rinse the shampoo out of our hair. This includes the main floor bathroom which forced a mobility impaired person trouble going up and down the stairs to utilize the shower each day. While sitting in the hot tub, tub started to drain and was completely unusable. We reached out to Orange Vacation homes and were met with a reply of “sorry we are going to be unable to fix it until after our checkout time”. This is unacceptable considering they didn’t have any clue what was wrong with it without even looking at it. (Unless this is a known issue) Once I pressed for someone to come look at the hot tub, they obliged. The pool guy showed up, stated that he was able to fix it and within minutes started to fill again. Not 30 after it filled, it drained again and was 100% unusable.”airbnb

“I’m honestly very upset. I tried to communicate with the host or I should say multiple host very slow response time not helpful at all. Asked about the closest pool to the location of the home. They told me it was a seven minute drive when in fact, there was a pool behind the home didn’t let me know that I needed a key card to get in wasted a whole day and then another half a day before the key card was dropped off when I was only in Florida for a total of four days they said that every room has a TV when in fact, there was a TV removed from one of the bedrooms, I tried to communicate that with them, but no response until the day before departure I let them know my car was broken into not because I wanted any type of compensation, but just to let them know and be aware of the situation, the only thing they had to say about it was we won’t be responsible for the car. I have so many more complaints to add, but I ran out of room I’m very upset with how everything was handled”airbnb
