“5 stars for Location, the house just next to the beach and everything as their description 3 stars cleaning house area and bathroom was clean as well but all sheet pf bed and pillow very bad smell. All of them smell like dog though up, we have to wash before we sleep and it still in there. I believe they have animal in the house. 1 stars for street parking and neighbors 413. We rent for 5 days and 4 nights but we cant park at front of house. As i understand it public street parking that can accept but those2 cars from neighborhood address 413 park since we arrive untill check out. They have pathway only park 1 car and 2 more their car park at front of this house so we have 3 small kids with us have to park far from house and walk back that make us think we can rent other house on same street which have pathway for us. So who not worry about bad smell of all sheet and neighbors parking all the time for 5 days no moving this will be great choice but if you mind i recommend other house”

“Comfortable and spacious apartment with well provisioned kitchen. No problems with the apartment, but floor cleaning needs to be of a much higher standard.”

“We had a great stay here. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, the beds were super comfortable, the shower was amazing, and everything inside felt really well done. I stayed with two young kids and it worked perfectly for us. The location is really what you’re paying for. My dad lives down the street, so we know the neighborhood well, and you are literally steps from one of the best spots in California. One thing to know is that the homes on this street are very close together. There’s a cute front patio but no backyard, and you’re definitely in close quarters with the neighbors. Everyone we met was very nice, though, and inside the house still feels private. It’s also managed by a rental company rather than an individual host, so things are a little more structured. And LOL, don’t count on early check-in. Check-in is at 3, and 3 means 3. Overall, the house was a dream, the location is incredible, and we would absolutely stay again.”

“We had a great stay and the house was located in a nice location with a short walk to the water and restaurants, but we did have a few issues with ants. This made it less than ideal to cook, but our stay was short so it wasn't a huge deal. Overall it is a nice place for a couple or small family to enjoy Santa Cruz!”

“The location and setup is fantastic. You are right on the beach, the beachfront sidewalk is nearly private, and there is a little patch through the rocks to access the beach. The bedrooms are spacious and the living space is very open. It was also nice having the upstairs deck in addition to the large downstairs patio. This setup worked very well for my family (2 adults, 2 young children). There were two issues that detracted from our experience. First, we were unable to access the storage room where the beach toys, garbage bins, and key to the outdoor hose were located. They tried giving us various entry codes, but none of them worked. This resulted in frustrated kids and stressful bouts carrying them inside in order to not get sand all over the floors. Second, check-in time was 3pm and we arrived at 3:20pm, but the cleaners were still working and did not finish until 3:45pm, sohad to sit in the car waiting to unload our belongings. For the price, these issuse should happen.”

“Really appreciated the responsiveness of the management team and it was a pretty seamless process. The cottage was very clean and came with all the essential amenities and the view from inside is really spectacular as the posting reflects. The exterior deck looks very inviting, but we did not use it given the pretty consistent street noise from vehicles traveling up and down the hill. Mornings and evenings are particularly busy and those were the times we were really hoping to soak in the views and beach vibe. I realize the owners and management company have no control over traffic patterns but if you rent here be aware of the noise and rumbling of traffic it is disruptive. We ended up using this as a “base camp” so did not spend as much time there as we anticipated. AND i often judge a place on whether i would stay again and unfortunately I probably would not based solely on the traffic noise. All other aspects we were very pleased with…”

“Host was very responsive, beautiful location, felt it was a bit overpriced but so is EVERYTHING in the area, parking was rough, couldn’t find the gate to beach so after washing sand from feet we had to walk back through the sand to access house, TV at foot of bed in master bedroom was very cool, bath two was beautiful but being told not to use big tub to save water was disappointing. Overall happy with our stay”

“This was a peaceful and quiet place to stay! We really enjoyed our time there! The only thing I would point out is if you have leg or hip problems it is a deep step in and out of both showers. We purchased a step stool to make it easer. I think our favorite thing was the outdoor living space. We were out there every morning having coffee and listening to the birds! Overall the beds were very comfortable and the house was so very nice to stay in! Santa Cruz is very close with a lot of entertainment! We ate out on the wharf and had some excellent Seafood! The Airbnb is in an excellent location! If you want peace and quiet this is where you want to stay!!”
