Oceanside Beach Rental

“Loved this place!! I loved that it was on the third floor (very convenient elevators) as you can always see the beach from a nice view. Always a nice gust of wind and good sounds coming from the waves right outside, so definitely didn’t need AC. The beach was extremely close and the hot tubs were so relaxing after the beach. The instructions were super clear and the host provided everything we needed and was very responsive and friendly. A HUGE BONUS for the bidet in one of the bathrooms, that was life changing for my family. Would totally come back again.”

“This place was beautiful. We enjoyed the accommodations. Felt right at home and loved hearing and experiencing the ocean. Close to restaurants and good variety. Super easy to sit and enjoy snacks at the picnic table and pass the time. Loved having our own stairs to pop down to sand/sea level. Will definitely book here again. Thank you.”

“Our stay at the Big Beach House was very enjoyable. They had everything we needed. Our group consisted of 3 adults and 5 children aged 6 and under. There are 3 levels with stairs, but there were safety, gates, so that was appreciated. The interior decor and view were as pictured (very nice) and you could sit out on either the middle or upper balcony and enjoy hearing the waves crashing as well, and even thought there was a good amount of traffic on the street, inside was quiet for the most part. We would definitely consider staying here again if had another Oceanside vacation.”

“We loved the place.. it was spacious and in a good location for our purpose. We wanted privacy, space and close to a beach. It’s all that. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, bedrooms were clean and the layout could accommodate a large group. The negatives: - the staff was not particularly helpful… no checking before 4 pm - no grocery delivery before check in - was told to deliver groceries to the guard shack. But instead, I was supposed to have deliveries scheduled to go to the house. - staff not willing to provide the guard shack contact information before check-in so I could work out grocery delivery logistics - no mention of the house being next to the railroad tracks. train goes by every two hours between midnight and 7 AM and every hour during the day. Not an issue if your heavy sleepers or have the AC/ fan running all night.”

“This was a nice place…However, there was a major issue that future renters need to be aware of: the property next door is an active construction site. Jackhammering started at 7:00 AM and was so intense it shook the entire house. Throughout the morning, there were also large rocks falling from the construction site into the property, with exposed rebar visible. This created not only constant noise, but also a concerning and unsafe environment that made it impossible to relax. None of this was disclosed in advance. Had we known, we would not have booked this property. What was especially disappointing was the lack of accountability from the host. We never received an apology for the disruption, and the compensation offered was misleading. We were told we would not be charged a $750 pet fee, even though we had only ever been quoted $250—making the actual concession minimal and not reflective of the impact on our stay. The home itself is as described.”
