Manager Review

Ocean Properties Vacation Rentals

Ocean Properties Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.69 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Beautiful, very well kept up property. The whole place is very secure and safe feeling for a family. The property had a very well stocked kitchen with cooking utensils and dishes and which is a must for our family. Everything was clean and cozy. The walk to the pool and beach from our building wasn’t bad and the beach was beautiful. The only issue we really had was with mail and our door didn’t lock upon leaving… no one had a key to our mailbox and we didn’t know this until we had a package delivered. The door lock was probably operator error and wasn’t that big of a deal because the place feels so secure and safe as a whole! We normally prefer beachfront properties but for the money we saved this was well worth it!!

This was not a luxury property for the price ticket

Amazing location on the beach! The backyard and beach access has been improved since the latest listing photos with a nice path and easy stairs. Great spot for kids with a calm beach and playground and ice cream shop in easy walking distance. The view is fantastic from the living room and on the deck. Be prepared to buy paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tabs etc if staying for more than a couple nights because the property management company provides a barebones supply ("starter kit" which they note in the listing agreement upon booking). Check in is inconvenient as you have to go to the property management office. Overall, a fantastic family vacation stay!

The stay was nice, but honestly not on the top end for us. The condo was dated and original (loud A/C, squeaky fans, etc). The route/walk to the beach was about all you would want once or twice on a hot day. The kitchen, bathrooms, and bedding situations are average - shower fixtures and water pressure was lacking and extra bedroom situation is rough (not a true 3rd bedroom). Feels like a property company rather than personal touch. The front door lock badly needs an update with a keyless pad. NSB is cool and the beach is beautiful and not crowded at all.

The place was in excellent shape and I would stay with Ocean Properties again. The people working for them were helpful whenever we had questions! There was a miscommunication with the host regarding the status of the pool as we checked in but I believe this wasn’t a typical experience from the way they handled everything else.

Host called 10 days prior to arrival to advise original listing was being cancelled due to construction. Not a great experience. Ended up moving to a different condo outside of Airbnb.

Mold on the Shower curtain. Most Glasses Dirty, Plates Dirty, Silverware Dirty. Bedroom TV much Smaller than most places we stay and not App (NFs, Prime, etc.) ready. Bathroom Sink will not drain from start, Slider Doors very difficult to open, Broken Cabinet Doors, Stove Burners not level to cook on. Kitchen Faucet broken only Spray, no stream. The only reason I will not say Poor for Dollar Value is the view. Room experience very important to us. You failed, should remove this place form your listing offerings. We have stella ratings as AirBnB Guests, expect the place we stay to do same.

The place reeked of marijuana and chemicals when I walked in and it lingered throughout the visit. I asked for late check out when I checked in, but the check in person could not process the 125$ fee for late checkout, which I thought was excessive since the published checkout was 9 am, and I only wanted to stay til 11am. So I had to wait for a manager to process it and he never sent me the request on Airbnb. I messaged through the app and no response on in 24 hours, so I had to call twice on Monday morning at 8:40 to extend the checkout and they finally charged me. I wanted to be in that complex because I was visiting a friend that owns there. But I’ve stayed in many Airbnbs over the years, and this was disappointing. Setting is beautiful, but condo was old and smelly. The stairs up to the bedroom were precarious as well, would not recommend for people with bad knees.

Was going to write a decent review but unfortunately the host wasn’t the best with communication. From check in to check out there was something that wasn’t clearly communicated or would get a response a whole day later. Description mentioned that beach supplies were provided but there wasn’t any chairs and we didn’t get a response for it until close to end of our stay. We also got charged for extra cleaning fees for stains that were already on the carpet when we first arrived. The location is good on a quiet part of the beach but probably not worth the hassle.
