Norris and Schachte Properties's guest rating of 4.65 is below average and may adversely impact performance. “I messaged before booking to ask about distance from parking and steps en route because one in our party had limitation. After 4 hours? I messaged again in case first didn't send. Got a response 11.5 hour later and between, price had been increased. I asked which price would apply and got no response..booked because we were dealing with a crisis and had no time to keep looking. Arrived to find that smoke detector had been removed from mater bedroom, fan im that rm didnt work, 2 light bulbs were missing in bathroom, toilet runs, bulb was burnt out over dining table and towel rack in 2d bath was not secure. They responded promptly to those msgs saying they'd have taken care of before next guest arrived (fixing after was ok....we were one night). Ifthinking of listing, read all, particularly maintenance section in additional rules at very end. This is a subletted apt dependent on complex maintenance. They have no ctrl over timing of repairs. Oh..and 1 wine glass. Cheers!”airbnb

“The place was ok for the most part. I did contact and the host said they will bring over more towels because the ones that were there was wet and folded on the bed. I ran out to get some once I noticed. They did offer to bring more but I didn’t want to wait anyway. The knats were flying for the whole stay which was two days . I brought it to the host attention they told me that the spray would arrive by a certain time it didn’t do I brought some from the store that didn’t work and they refuse to accommodate me in some sort of way they ignored me and gave me check out instructions. I didn’t feel like it was fare at all. Also the bugs were in the fridge. I have multiple pictures of the bugs crawling and flying around.”airbnb

“Everything about he apartment was good. One bedroom did not have a TV. The worst and most disappointing aspect of the apartment was the electrical outlets. Some outlets were dead. Some worked and then went dead. A couple sparked when plugs were inserted. One plug blew my laptop battery; luckily I had insurance and could get it fixed locally. It was frustrating and aggravating, especially since there were many positives about the furnishings.”airbnb

“My family booked this apartment for a one night stay. Upon returning from dinner we were stopped by another guest in the location who was renting from the same host, they let us know that they found hidden cameras in the outlets, called the police and advised us to check our apartment. When we checked we found several outlet cameras in the unit. One camera in the bathroom directly facing the shower. We called the police and had to find a hotel at 1am in the morning. We contacted the host and after one phone conversation never heard back from the host. We provided pictures and all of the information. I trusted my family would be safe in this home and feel violated. Do not choose this unit or any other unit by this host as your privacy will be jeopardized and you will be recorded.”airbnb

“Mixed bag again. TVs, beds, kitchen options were nice, AC works well. Train is still noisy and unpredictable. The couch and chairs in the living room were all extremely uncomfortable. The dryer screen is broken, so your small clothes will get trapped in the door slot. Something in the toilet tank doesn't work properly, so after flushing, it would either take 20 seconds, or 15 minutes for it to stop trying to refill the tank. The most troubling thing about our stay was a large bowl of there's went missing in about a 3 hour span we were out of the apartment one day. We searched every cabinet and impossible location like the closets or oven to see if we somehow put it somewhere odd, but it was not in the apartment anywhere. We could only guess that one of the hosts or cleaners came in and brought it to another apartment, or a previous guest still had a key and came back for it. We did not notice any of our personal belongings missing, but still a creepy experience. Keep expectations low.”airbnb

“Place is infested with roaches there was baby roaches everywhere you looked. When told about the roaches they gave us roach spray. Not worth the price never had this problem before at any other place in Charleston.”airbnb

“Bathroom was not cleaned, sent host pictures/videos and issue was not resolved. Obnoxious noise from upstairs residents without warning. Most kitchen supplies listed and shown in pictures were not in the apartment. Eye on stove not working properly, boxes left at the front door. No TV in bedroom should compensate for better furniture in living room. More than one washcloth and one towel should be provided for each guest, especially for more than one night of staying. The tub is dingy and maintenance. Needs to do a work up on some of the areas of the walls.”airbnb

“Mixed bag. For the price, the furnishings and amenities in the apartment were great. 3 tvs, working washer/dryer, plenty of pillows, firm but comfy beds, AC was strong, plenty of kitchenware to cook/eat. The complex the apartment is in is pretty run down, there is a train track right behind that will sometimes have a train blare its horn 2-5 times at 4-7am, the rooms have closets for hanging clothes, but no dresser to put other clothes is, and the beds take up 80% of the room. Was in talks with a host to extend another week+ and he stopped replying 2 days before checkout. No idea if he died, or just decided replying was too large a hassle. If you keep your expectations low, you will be pleased with your stay. If you want to love your stay, I would probably choose somewhere else.”airbnb
