“We really enjoyed our stay on Flower Drive over Memorial Day Weekend -- the house was very neat and clean, yet also welcoming and inviting. It's hard to believe this is a dog-friendly rental.... My husband, two teenagers and our labrador had plenty of room to spread out and relax. There is an amazingly well-stocked kitchen (meaning, utensils/pots and pans) such that cooking in and eating at the large dining room table was enjoyable. The lovely fireplace and the hot tub were also great on a rainy weekend. We really also appreciated the detailed electronic manual that was provided in advance -- it listed restaurants off the resort. We tried two of them and enjoyed both. This property is located at the bottom of the mountain so it was easy to get into the town for the restaurants and groceries. We really enjoyed our stay!”

“Everything about Chris and his place is exceptional! Alpenglow is huge. The views are amazing. The seating areas indoors and outdoors are numerous, large and comfortable. The home is open, bright and airy. There are multiple living rooms and gathering areas. Space for a large group is not a problem. Privacy is not a problem as there are so many different living spaces in the home. Even though there are homes nearby, the views are completely unobstructed and you feel as if you are alone on the mountain. This is our second stay at Wintergreen. I'm sure it won't be our last. Alpenglow will always be our first choice moving forward. Chris is the perfect host. He is very responsive and helpful. Thank you Chris for sharing your amazing home with us.”

“66 Dogwood is a beautiful home. It offers plenty of room for a huge family get together. It was very clean and well stocked. The communication about the property from beginning to end was quick, professional and friendly. We all had a wonderful stay even though the weather was not very cooperative!”

The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with high-quality supplies, the home was spotless, and every detail felt thoughtfully prepared. The coffee and pantry staples were such a welcome bonus after long days exploring. Our family especially loved the game room the race car game was a huge hit with the kids. The house was the perfect home base for exploring Shenandoah National Park, Monticello, and even discovering Grand Caverns on a rainy day. Chris and the team were wonderful hosts from start to finish. We truly had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.”

“This home fit our needs perfectly for our large family to celebrate our JMU graduate. The younger kids loved the games and hot tub/sauna. There was plenty of seating inside and outside for all to enjoy meals together! The distance to JMU was manageable for driving and uber purposes! Overall, great stay! The host was very responsive even when a situation arose that was out of their control to continuously check in with us until the matter was resolved in the very late night/early am hours! Highly recommend this property!”
