Narragansett Properties

Narragansett Properties's guest rating of 4.68 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The house was ok for the six nights we stayed. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and bright and the kitchen had everything we needed ( except cereal bowls) . However the downstairs had a terrible moldy smell. A dehumidifier is definitely needed . The location is convenient to Newport and Narragansett.

Place needs maintenance. Shutter falling off, towel racks broken, no blinds on bedroom windows (only sheers), broken curtain rods, ants in kitchen, hairs on floor in bathroom floor and shower (we cleaned before use), kitchen drying mat filthy (had to wash). Only one mini split, property description states "splits", so bedrooms hot at night. Couch was broken in center and could no be sat on. The was many decor items that took up unnessecary space on tables and nightstands with several glass "chachkis", not suitable for young children. Some of this was discussed over text message. We went to office to discuss in person and still have not received a call back. Company did offer to send someone to care for some items, but these should have been easily seen and address prior to stay.

I have more than 1,000 characters to share so I will do what I can. I will say, it was a fairly decent place but over priced considering the age of the furnishings, tv and air conditioners. The living room smelled like urine. The cleaning/sanitizing company certainly did not do a good job and in my opinion should be fired. Leaving a coffee pot with mold growing in the pot with coffee still in it was disgusting. There's black mold in the 1st floor bathroom and shower. The blanket on the 1st floor bedroom had snot on it. It was visible as soon as I walked into the bedroom. The front door wouldn't lock from the outside. We ended up leaving from the back so we could lock the front manually. The air conditioners should be replaced. They are very old and noisy. It was definitely NOT worth the price. I won't book it again unless there's a different "cleaning/sanitizing" company.

We had a great time here with our friends and family. The house was fun and the neighborhood was very walkable which we really enjoyed. There are some nice breakfast spots and bars nearby to enjoy. Narraganset beach is a very quick drive away which was convenient. The home was not as clean as we would have liked it to be upon arrival. We were also not warned beforehand about the heavy road construction taking place on the street that would start at 6-7am most weekdays, which we would have appreciated. This of course is not a permanent issue. The sheets were very nice and the beds were super comfortable. Overall we would love to stay here again.

What an incredible disappointment. This is not a well-cared for property. The exterior of the house was dirty, there was a broken down table on the porch, the mattresses were awful, kitchen cabinet shelves were collapsing, the kitchen had junky utensils and dishes and no lids to match pots, the house was not well cleaned, there were not enough places to sit for the amount of people that supposedly could be accommodated, and no blankets were provided. And that’s the good news. When we arrived, we made two beds and then found a damp towel in one of the linen bags. We put stuff in the dryer and contacted the host to let them know the linens weren’t dried properly. They wrote back saying “oops,” the linens were dirty. They refunded us a minor amount of money. Four days later, there was a terrible smell of sewage in the basement apartment. We were told a work order was put in, but nobody came that day. We left the following morning, two days early, and are currently seeking recompense.

We had an okay stay at this home! I’m genuinely surprised by the good reviews, as we experienced numerous issues during our stay and this is the first time I’ve ever had a not so great vacation rental. When we arrived at the home, we noticed that several things were broken, couches were dirty and stained (even ceilings were stained upon walking in), house was not the cleanest, and one toilet was running. As the trip evolved, nothing really got fixed - they sent over their maintenance man and he agreed that the house was in poor condition for renting, and that they needed to do some work. Toilet was never fixed so we had one usable bathroom for the entire home and one AC unit was working on and off. No AC in any common areas like either LR or kitchen, and it was hot! Only two bedrooms had workable AC. 3 stars for the great location and for getting a small partial refund for the unusable bathroom.

The house is suitable for anyone who wants spacious quarters located close to main thoroughfares, stores, beaches, etc. With attention to multiple corrective measures, because of its excellent location this place could become a more desirable offering.

We were really disappointed by our stay here. We stayed for 3 nights in mid June. Our main pain points are: 1. Unclean. Stinky garbage was left in trash can in attached garage you could smell inside. Dirty pizza tray left in oven, full dog poop bag left next to front steps, and not vacuumed. With a one year old crawling around it was easy to tell how dirty the floors were. Also missing dishwasher pod and the one paper towel roll had 7 paper towels left. 2. Air conditioning units were not only not turned on when we arrived on a 93 degree day, but upon investigation rated for 100-150 sq/ft rooms. You can tell by the listing pics that 3 out of 4 of the bedrooms greatly exceed that and so the rooms never cooled down and we were miserable trying to sleep. 3. Multiple pieces of broken furniture, broken ceiling fan and no drain plugs so we couldn’t properly run a bath for our baby. 4. Poor communication with management group. Eventually got some resolution after we left. Huge bummer.

The house and location were great! Didn't love that we had to make our own beds and provide our own essentials. Need more mirrors in the bedrooms and at least one full length mirror. One of the comforters had a huge stain as well. But the space worked well for our group of 7 and the neighborhood is very nice!

Amazing, spacious & clean home perfectly advertised for a family gathering! 10 bedrooms allows for comfort for larger groups. The only glitch was the lack of paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels & garbage bags, we should be provided based on the cost. This would have been very helpful! Also, the most convenient grill was out of order. Otherwise it was a great weekend! Thank-you!
