“The place was lovely! It was clean, the neighbors and neighborhood were great, and the amenities were top-tier! I’d leave a 4 rating, except my interactions with the host left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I was immediately asked to sign a separate contract that wasn’t disclosed in the listing. When I found out I might have to relocate to another office and asked the host about ending my booking early, they said it was impossible and I said I understood. But then, unbeknownst to me, they cleaned the unit and changed the code as though I’d canceled my stay. I found out that I was locked out of my unit in the middle of the night and had to stay in a hotel room. The next morning, they told me I’d have to pay a $200 cleaning fee to regain access to the unit I was still paying for through the end of the month. I decided to just stay in the hotel I’d moved into.”

“Overall, this was a highly disappointing stay, especially for $4,500 over 34 days. The apartment was extremely dated, from the out-of-date décor to the bedroom televisions that appeared to be from around 2001 and could not support streaming. Only the living room TV was usable. The pool area, clubhouse, and gym equipment were also very outdated, and the clubhouse had a musty smell. The unit was not properly stocked for a long-term stay. We were provided with only two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom (four total), low-quality shampoo, dried-up dishwasher soap, and flimsy garbage bags. No laundry detergent, household cleaners, or other basic necessities were provided, so we had to purchase these items ourselves. Property management was also concerning. On the last day, a representative came to the unit and initially represented herself as the cleaning person, which was unus”
