Manager Review

My Peaceful Stay

My Peaceful Stay's guest rating of 4.75 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Overall, my family and I enjoyed our 5 day stay at Mariam’s place. The place had most of the things we needed, but the pillow cases and comforters had stains in addition to the showers having hair and dirt from previous occupants. I was disappointed that I was unable to use the crib that was advertised in the listing due to safety reasons. I would advise that anyone staying here with an infant makes sure to specify the exact positioning of the crib (whether you need it positioned higher or lower). Also, I would advise that you bring your own crib sheets since the ones provided were too big which was also a safety hazard. Lastly, we weren’t aware of this but it seems that this place is in the midst of off-campus college housing. There was very loud music playing at night which made it hard to get my infant to sleep some nights. All in all, the beds were comfortable and the amenities were nice. A good stay especially on weekdays with quieter nights. Be mindful if you have infants.”

“Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. The home was spacious and comfortably accommodated our entire group. We especially loved the porch, which provided plenty of outdoor seating and was the perfect place to relax and visit with family and friends. There were a few issues during our stay. The parking in the back was difficult to navigate, and the dryer was not working. The host was responsive and asked me to send a picture of the dryer panel, but we didn’t have time to wait for repairs during our stay. As a result, I had to take my clothes to my son’s house to dry them. We also had to take our trash to my son’s dumpster because the garbage bins at the property were full. The host advised us to place the trash in the garage, but we were unable to locate a garage on the property. Despite these inconveniences, we enjoyed our stay overall.”

“Great location if your in town for a game, graduation, or a trade show. It’s a quick ride to the stadium or World Congress Center. You can pick up a Ubar ride in less than 5 mins.”

“Great house. Fantastic location. Only issue: said free parking. But one of our cars was ticketed.”

“We booked this unit mainly b/c it's a block away from our office & had planned to make this our preferred stay for our twice monthly out-of-town coworkers. But the morning after my 1st night, I had an intense headache w/ brain fog. I figured it was due to travel, but when my coworker immediately started coughing, we knew it was something inside the unit. That's when we discovered huge mold splotches on the interior of the bathroom mirror, as well as the ceiling & walls. After sending Osman the pics & asked to be moved to the vacant unit above, he said we could for an extra fee, so instead of immediately finding a way for us not be exposed to mold, he wanted to make more money in an already terrible situation & that he would replace the mirror door, but mold needs to be professionally removed in the entire bathroom b/c there's no air vent in the roof above the bathroom, so mold will continue to grow. Canceling on the 2nd night would have refunded only $150 of the $758. Do not book here.”

“It was a decent stay, but we had a couple issues. The house was quite cold and drafty, and floors were uneven. It is an old house, which is understandable, but it was a cold stay in January. The water in 2 of the showers were COLD and took a while to heat up, and the other 2 were fine. Otherwise, it was a place that we needed. It did throw me off, when my mother had called me to inform me a MAN WALKED INTO THE HOUSE, claiming Airbnb had double-booked and he was there for some convention ? Safety at question with that one. Not for my mothers’, as she can defend herself. He showed her the airbnb location information and it matched. Unacceptable on the owner and airbnb. Luckily, he left promptly and there was no further issue.”
