My Orlando Vacation Escape

“unfortunately, this was by far the worst Airbnb experience my family has ever had. From the very first day, our stay was filled with issues that significantly impacted our vacation. Upon arrival, it took us over three hours just to gain access to both the complex and the home due to entry issues. After traveling with my family—including my infant, which I made aware of beforehand—this was incredibly frustrating and stressful. Once we finally entered the property, we discovered that the upstairs air conditioning was not working for the first 24 hours. Having an infant in the home made this not only uncomfortable but concerning. This should have been addressed immediately. We also found that the pillowcases and all of the bedding upstairs were dirty, which is completely unacceptable in a rental that is expected to be cleaned and prepared for new guests. On top of that, there were roaches throughout the house, making us feel uncomfortable!”

“The stay was peaceful, however the kitchen had bugs that was reported after being told that someone would come spray, it did not happen. On today I also received a claim for saying damage to a comforter. That was a false claim as I took pictures the morning I left with no damage! I also had to wait for the check-in instructions.”

“Great location, roomy, great amenities at the home and in the community. Would stay again for sure!”

“Our family stayed here over the 4th of July weekend, and overall we had a great experience. The home was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for our group of 10. We would definitely consider staying here again. A few suggestions: provide more toiletries, such as shampoo, conditioner, extra soap, toilet paper, coffee filters, and a few laundry detergent pods. There were only two garbage bags provided for a three-night stay with 10 guests. I also paid $100 for a barbecue grill immediately after booking, but it wasn’t delivered until the second day of our stay. The living room sofa needs repair or replacement, and the exterior, including the windows, pool structure, and walls, would benefit from pressure washing due to visible mold and mildew. Overall, we loved the property, and these improvements would make it even better.”

“My kids loved the place . Needs a little better cleaning but not too bad. The instructions were told we have access to the resort amenities. Never said there was a fee. Seen a cockroach in the room my sons were in.”

“I’ve stayed at Storey Lake in the past, this was my first time in this house. House was cheaply furnished, stains everywhere. Lack of essentials like bath and pool towels when it say it sleeps 12. Baby equipment was very dirty I couldn’t use them. We paid to heat the pool but water turned cold 3x on us and they claimed it wasn’t on a timer or anything. They also changed the code on us for the last day and we were locked out of the house with a baby and little kids. It took them 7 hours to respond with updated code. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend.”

“Wouldn’t come back to this place or wouldn’t recommend anybody else to come stay here had trouble getting checked in with the wrong QR code. Pool was dirty contacted the host and he said the pool people was coming out they never came kids didn’t get to enjoy the pool nothing but one day! Towels had a strong musty odor and sheets and covers also wi-fi was terrible not enough tissue not enough trash bags dishwasher didn’t work”

“All and all this is a beautiful place and we enjoyed our stay. Second night we got locked in the garage playing ping pong, it was a little frustrating to not be able to get ahold of someone. Luckily my son’s baseball team was nearby and his coach was able to come get us. He even had the fire department enroute just in case. For myself I thought the beds were a little uncomfortable. We tried everything to get the cable TV in main room to work but was unsuccessful. I was also bummed to find out we had to pay extra to use the heater for the spa. Other than that we enjoyed our stay to cheer on our son in his college baseball tournament. House was beautiful and clean upon arrival.”

“We enjoyed our stay, however be warned. They do not include anything in this booking other than the house and dishes. We had to buy our own toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee filters, ect… We had it booked for over a week and were left with one roll of toilet paper and one trash bag. We had to buy multiple items that we could only use a few of. We left some of these items for other guests in hopes that they wouldn’t have to buy these items for their stay. This was a great location and the house was relatively clean, just wish those items had been provided as they typically are in an Airbnb.”
