“This house was in the perfect location, was peaceful, amazing neighbors, and everything we needed for our week at the beach. My Ocean Rental communicated before and during our vacation to make sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to staying again!”airbnb

“You could not ask for a better location, just steps to the boardwalk beach entrance and only a 5-10 min walk to all the Folly shops and restaurants! All the bedding/towels and house itself smelled very clean without smelling of air fresheners or scented detergent. All four beds were very comfortable, even the top bunk for an adult. The front deck was very roomy and had a nice view of the ocean. The host was very responsive to any requests or questions we had. Would love to rent this place again!”airbnb

“We had a great time with my family of 9. The house was pretty nice for a family on the inside with good, comfortable bedding. We enjoyed the open concept. The outside 3 decks had great views but were in major need of love and repair. They also could make the outside more inviting with nicer and more furniture along with a grill. The kitchen was well stocked but is in need of a good clean out and organization.”airbnb

“Great location! Beds were comfortable. Layout is a bit different so be sure that isn’t an issue for your group.”airbnb

“The property was beautiful and well-kept, but our experience was beyond disappointing. The host failed to disclose that the property is next door to an active construction site. Monday through Friday, we were woken at 8:00 AM by heavy equipment and loud noises. We couldn't enjoy the deck due to non-stop noise and had to buy beach chairs to escape it. This was a special graduation gift for my daughter who just graduated from the University of South Carolina. We booked well in advance, giving the host plenty of time to notify us. We would have never rented this property had we known. While we received a one-night refund, it doesn't come close to compensating for our disrupted stay. We couldn't sleep in or relax—the opposite of what we planned. As Airbnb owners ourselves, we would never misrepresent a property or fail to disclose such critical information. Transparency is essential, and this was a significant failure.”airbnb

“Our stay was good. The property has a lot of potential but could be “great” if management/ownership made some changes. The positives: the home itself is solid. The build quality, appliances, fixed furnishings, and location are all great. One note: the pool is not heated, so it was very cold in mid-April. Areas it can improve: Tighten up basic maintenance—raise the shower curtains to prevent mold, deep-clean areas like the washer seal/trash lid, ensure all light bulbs work and the same temperature, fix small issues like the broken range vent and half bath faucet. Upgrade toiletries: 2 oz Palmolive and do people still use bar soap? Maintain more thorough cleaning standards (baseboards, behind furniture, windows) would go a long way. And update the interior design. Even a modest investment in updated finishes and a more cohesive design approach (e.g., 68 mismatched glasses, 5 mismatched living room lamps, art with price tags) would make the home feel more current and intentional.”airbnb
