“Great location and cute space. The house was pretty small but perfect for my husband and I. The house has two little houses on the property. This would be great if we brought our teenagers but they didn’t come for this trip. They are building a house right next door but fortunately for us, they didn’t do any building while we stayed there. All in all, I would totally stay there again.”

“An exterior sliding door was unsecured when we arrived and we could not fully close it. After making a call to management, they came the next day to secure it closed and we were told not to use it. We were not made aware of any plans to replace or properly repair the door. The apartment was clean, but we woke up with congestion issues and realized the AC filter was very dirty and we had to replace same”

“Great location.. super cute and comfy house. Be forewarned- you’ll have to bring basics such as toilet paper, trash bags, laundry detergent, salt and pepper - everything. They get you started and tell you that but we ran out quickly. The grill did not work but we improvised. Overall, was perfect for our needs and we’d go back 100%”

“You can’t get a much better location. It’s across the street from the beach and walking distance to Bert’s, Chico Feo and Center St. The lower level was really helpful for my parents and their elderly dog. The backyard was great for the dogs and small children. As mentioned in other reviews, the house is old but I think that’s part of the charm. The bathroom had a leak in the roof which we became aware of due to a major rain storm while we were there. We had nice weather the rest of the week so it didn’t end up being a huge issue for us. There are noise sensors on the home. My 2 yo had a rough time adjusting the first night and I received automated text messages all night. She wasn’t that loud so if you’re staying up late maybe just avoid it all together. Overall ended up being a great place for our family and I would recommend for low key family vacation!”

“The pool was the only thing redeemable about this place. It needs to be completely updated and needs a lot of serious maintenance. The ridge was hot when we arrived and all our groceries were going bad It took an insane amount of time for them to respond about this. All of communication was terrible with slow responses . The house smelled weird in the kitchen. Has water leaking from the ceiling onto the counter. Another leak coming from a light switch. The drain plug in the shower falling off. So many things terribly patched up and not addressed. This could be a great house if it was taken care of. The pool was my kids favorite part about our trip.”

“The house was everything we needed but the deck needs some work--just very weathered. The location was very good since the public access to the beach was literally across the street. We were only a 10 minute walk from the town proper, which was perfect for us since we didn't want the bustle of the town. They had all the pots, pans, cutting boards, knives/spoons/forks, plates, and bowls that we needed for our party of 9--two families.”

“This house was in the perfect location, was peaceful, amazing neighbors, and everything we needed for our week at the beach. My Ocean Rental communicated before and during our vacation to make sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to staying again!”

“The property was beautiful and well-kept, but our experience was beyond disappointing. The host failed to disclose that the property is next door to an active construction site. Monday through Friday, we were woken at 8:00 AM by heavy equipment and loud noises. We couldn't enjoy the deck due to non-stop noise and had to buy beach chairs to escape it. This was a special graduation gift for my daughter who just graduated from the University of South Carolina. We booked well in advance, giving the host plenty of time to notify us. We would have never rented this property had we known. While we received a one-night refund, it doesn't come close to compensating for our disrupted stay. We couldn't sleep in or relax—the opposite of what we planned. As Airbnb owners ourselves, we would never misrepresent a property or fail to disclose such critical information. Transparency is essential, and this was a significant failure.”
