“Favorite Airbnb stay! We absolutely loved our stay at this property. I’m very particular about airbnbs (especially cleanliness) and this one exceeded our expectations. It was exactly as described. The house looks brand new but still had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The location was perfect. At BHI, we prefer staying in Martime Forest over staying directly on the beach. This house was in the forest, walkable to the market, coffee shop and several restaurants, but only a short golf cart ride from the beach. We also walked to the beach a few times and it took less than 10 minutes. The kitchen had everything we needed and there were more than enough bath towels. I highly recommend this house and we will definitely stay again!”

“Arrived around 10 PM excited to relax, but found roughly 10 long hairs and 5 pubic hairs on the bed — not cleaned between guests. I photographed it and reported it immediately. Sand was also in the sheets, and the dryer had heavy lint and sand buildup, so sheets we tried to wash ourselves never came fully clean. We found dead bugs that had clearly been there a while, plus dust on every table, nightstand, and lamp in the unit. Folded bath towels in the closet had hairs on them and weren't actually clean. Because of the bed, we didn't get to sleep until 1 AM after remaking it ourselves. Gloria in communications was genuinely helpful and took the complaint seriously, but management only offered a 50% refund of the cleaning fee, which doesn't match a property that plainly wasn't cleaned. The furniture and decor also looked noticeably plainer in person than the listing photos suggest. Bald Head Island was lovely, but this listing needs a real cleaning process before its next guest.”

“Everything was great! Short walk to the beach, good location, clean home. The only thing I would say is you need to understand there’s hardly anything to eat on the island and no activities, I think they should’ve let everyone know how important it is to join the club and provide info to do so easily and to me that was huge ball drop and a let down on the experience. We would’ve definitely done that and even when I wrote them about it the response wasn’t helpful. I would definitely do it again and stay again just not without joining the club first so I had access to amenities and food. Otherwise great!”
