“Convenient accommodations in Glacier, WA -- about as close as you can get to the Mt. Baker hiking area at the east end of SR 542. The apartment had a well equipped kitchen and sitting area that met all of our needs (an advantage since there are not a lot of dining out options near Glacier). The accommodations are not luxury or glamorous, but that was exactly what we wanted as we spent most of our time up in the mountains.”

“Mt Baker is beautiful! The house had safety issues, broken outdoor furniture that was unusable, exposed and hanging unknown wires in the kitchen near the stove, a lot of cobwebs in bathroom and next to dryer, pretty dirty actually. The front door would not stay shut/locked so we felt very uncomfortable leaving and the other main door would constantly lock if you were outside! One wouldn’t lock, one wouldn’t stop locking and it was concerning. We contacted host, someone came out, but nothing was done, no solutions offered, we had to deal with it. Door handle in a bedroom upstairs kept falling off repeatedly. The game room was definitely not what was described. Pool table has a large ridge and would constantly launch the ball’s hitting players. Air hockey table didn’t work properly and puck was missing. No needle on record player. Foosball table had duct tape as a repair not from us. Host was responsive but the issues were not resolved. Overall not worth the money. Beware.”

“Overall we made the most of our stay here and would recommend it to others. We had high expectations because we stayed here for our wedding in Mt. Baker. I think several minor adjustments can be made for both safety and ease of stay for guests. When we arrived there were people there installing a dryer and the cleaning individual. The lack of communication to expect this when we arrived bothered me. There was also a rotten smell right when we walked in. It didn’t subside even though we aired out the entire cabin. Later in the evening there was a gas leak because two of the burners had been left on. The smell caused us both to have headaches right before meeting our photographer. There is also mold in the detergent compartment of the washer. Although the stairs were pictured in the listing there wasn’t a warning about the gaping hole on one side of the stairs without a barrier. Extremely dangerous. The host responded to all of these issues promptly, but didn’t apologize once.”

“If I could give it 0 stars I would. It’s clear this place gets a minimal surface clean only unknown when was the last time it was cleaned correctly. Upon entering immediately noticed a strong smell of mildew. We proceeded to unpack our groceries and noticed the kitchen had a greasy film of EVERYTHING and the one sponge provided was stained brown from food. The pans were in such bad shape with severe scratches and stains. We found mold in the restroom and food crumb in the kitchen drawers. The sheets smelled badly and we were up until 1am washing everything. The headboard had large food crumbs. The hot tub was green and although they sent someone out to “clean” it almost 24 hours after our arrival all they did was put in a chemical. When we were finally going to get in the headrest came off and there was so much filth, hair and algae I no longer had interest. The AC tank needed to be dumped every hour in order to use and the host just acted nonchalant about everything. Would not return.”
