“Wonderful stay! Close to both towns of Davis & Thomas. Was able to visit Dolly Sods, Blackwater Falls, and Seneca Rocks during a short visit because of the proximity of the Airbnb. Plenty of places to eat, and shop. Small kitchen did come in handy after hiking last longer than expected. Would stay here again!”

“We've stayed in dozens of rentals over the years, but this one offered the least for the money we've ever had. Here are some of the problems we encountered, all easily fixable if the owners would be willing to spend a little to repair, replace or upgrade. ⁃ Door to the master bath shower does not close, so water sprays all over the bathroom ⁃ Master bath toilet malfunctions ⁃ Sliding door to the deck and hot tub is nearly impossible to open and close ⁃ Vertical blinds on those glass sliding doors are missing several slats - impossible to block out morning light ⁃ Mouse droppings in a bedroom dresser drawer ⁃ Missing/broken spindles on 2 dining chairs - dangerous for kids, uncomfortable for all. ⁃ Not enough chairs of any kind for more than 6 people, though the house is advertised for up to 10 ⁃ Walkup access to house remained dangerously icy on arrival. No shovels provided, leaving us to try and use random garden tools in the garage to clean away heavy ice”

“I really hate to give a bad review. The only door the key fit was on the back deck. The deck had a foot of snow and ice. We're not young and he fell dropping key which almost slid off the deck. The side door had a notice on it to use the back door. Key did not work in side door. The driveway was clear of snow with a two car garage. Why we weren't allowed to go in that way is a question for his insurance agency! If someone gets hurt, that's a terrible liability. The furniture is old worn and needs replaced not comfortable. Pet hair in corners and along base of wall. Water drainage in the sinks upstairs was slow and disgusting. Shower floor was slimy. Horrible heat regulation downstairs by the furnace. Upstairs is cold. Downstairs is too hot. Critters crawling in the walls probably mice or rats. The worst part of all was his lack of response to my questions. I wasn't going to publish this, but he didn't bother responding to it when I sent it to him privately two days ago. Poor management”
