Mountain View Cabin Rentals

“It was peaceful with a private fishing pond with 2 other cabins located in front of us. I rate this cabin a 3/5 due to small cosmetic things that need replaced as well as the porch steps. We have stayed with Mountain View Cabin Rentals a lot over the years but this is one cabin I would not rent again.”

“Great location for the price. Cabins need a good cleaning and some maintenance. We fixed our kitchen sink that looked like it had just been leaking underneath for a long time. Broken blinds and windows with tape. There was a lot of dust and splatters on the walls. Humidifier was filled with old water and mold. Just need better house keeping.”

“Location is good if you’re in the area to ride the Cherohala Skyway. The driveway would likely be difficult in a lowered vehicle due to steep angle/transition. Price was cheap, which is why rating wasn’t made lower. I purposely searched for places offering WiFi due to needing it for my work laptop. They say they have WiFi, but I guess it’s just for the TVs (which was very slow and spotty). I asked 3 times for a password and never got a response. There was a QR code to sign into WiFi but it didn’t work. They did send copy/paste messages of “if you need anything just ask”. I asked. They ignored. Office is in a different location and you must stop there to get a key, and return key there after checkout. No one was ever at office. Listing claims this unit has an older floor. The floor is water damaged, soft, and has been literally stapled back down. Cabin was dusty and musty. There’s a light in the bathroom and a dim light over kitchen area, that’s it. Can barely see inside at night.”

“The host was responsive up until check-in. After check-in and while trying to get assistance with the WiFi, which does NOT work, they were unresponsive and unhelpful. I planned on doing some work from a peaceful location, but was absolutely unable to do so. There was also construction next door that starts at 7:30am even on the weekends.”

“It was very noisy from the road and cabins beside us. Cabins are very close together. Also needs more dishes and silverware. There was a water leak in bathroom and TV didn't work. Won't stay again!”

“It’s a great cabin, plenty of room, nice location. The space is really nice and beds are comfortable, no WiFi, very few towels and washcloths. The space appeared clean but with the dryer being broke and sheets appears not clean I worried. This cabin has its pluses and minuses.”

“Cabin was exactly what I was looking for. Near the Tellico River. restaurants, stores, but quiet and off the main roads. We were fly fishing a few days.”

“Overall we did enjoy our stay. The location was amazing and the downtown Tellico area was super cute and very close. The area was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. The communication through Airbnb messaging wasn’t great. I asked questions and would only received automated messages days later. I had to search their phone number for their office on google and call in order to get an answer to my question. I think what was most upsetting is that every single dish and utensil I grabbed was so dirty. It looked like the dishes were never washed. From plates to wine glasses to forks. Also there were dishes in the dishwasher on the very bottom below the dish rack that I had to clean out which was also pretty gross. Also one of the towels in the master bathroom had a light brown crusty stain on it which made me skeptical if those were properly washed as well. Ultimately we would stay here again if we couldn’t find anywhere else because the location was great.”

“Cabin small, old, dusty, dark, poor lighting, overpriced, TV had no service signal. Called rental company 4 times to come fix, no answer at office, left message, no response. I drove to rental office multiple times, building locked closed. I tried to message rental company a few times via Airbnb messaging, no response until after I checked out. Said they will refund $25. RENTERS BEWARE, read reviews and Google reviews before you book with this rental company. I’ll never go back there. - Chris Roche”
