“This cabin was warm and cozy. It would be hard to think of anything you could need that isn’t included in this cabin. We were only two people so did not use the loft. The ladder to access the loft was not something I was comfortable with at my age. The bedroom is tiny so the bed is pushed against a wall making it awkward to get in and out of. We had a car but otherwise the cabin is not close enough to walk to the town. The location is close to areas to see moose. With limited restaurants in the area, it was convenient to be able to cook ourselves. We enjoyed the cabin and Greenville area.”

“This was my 4th trip to Moosehead to ice fish this season. The camp was cozy and location was good if you wanted to fish that end of the lake. They don’t provide towels and they don’t let you arrive early just to park to go fish. So if you come up for a trip Friday-Sunday you get one full day to fish. Check in was at 4pm and check out was 10am so only a couple hours to fish after you arrive and before you depart. This was the only property that did not allow us to get there early just to park and be able to head to the lake to fish before check in. If you’re fine with that than this is a nice place to stay but if you’re a serious fisherman heading to moosehead there’s a lot better options north of the moose river bridge who provide towels and are very accommodating. It was very disappointing to say the least since this establishment has been around a long time. You’d think with all the competition around now service would be better not worse.”

“This is our 5th year at Pine Cone Cottage- every year more special than the last. The house is extremely well maintained and clean and it honestly feels like home. The tasteful decorations in the cottage and occasional updates of appliances and such are much appreciated. This cottage has helped create so many special memories. The short walk to the snow covered lake for early morning and late evening snowshoeing is perfect and the proximity to the best pizza (at Jamos) and skiing (at Squaw) makes this an amazing get away. Each year we look forward to our return!!!!!! Thanks for providing such a special place for memory-making!”

“We had a great stay! Every year, for 15 years and counting, our group of friends stays in Greenville to go snowmobiling for a few days and this has been our favorite place to date. We had ample parking for 4 trucks and trailers, plenty of places to sleep, open concept living area so we could all socialize. There was plenty of furniture for all of us to sit and relax comfortably and the kitchen and dining room was large enough for all of us to hang out without feeling crowded. The decor was beautiful! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans and essential spices. The house was exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable. Definitely a 5 star stay!”

“We had a wonderful stay at Spencer View. It was the perfect spot for our family, and dog to go ice fishing and enjoy being outside! Views were perfect and the house is protected from the wind and weather in a cove! It helped that the weather was perfect for winter, and there was not too much snow to trudge through to get out on the ice! The basement full of games was ideal when the kids got sick of being outside! One thing to note would be that the owners are living on the property about 20 feet from the house. They did not bother us at all and I am sure are wonderful people, but it is something I would like to know prior to check in. There are also cameras everywhere on the property. Another thing that I completely understand having, but would have liked to know as well. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we highly recommend this rental. We hope to go back next winter!”
