Moonlight Mountain Retreat

Moonlight Mountain Retreat's guest rating of 4.71 is below average and may adversely impact performance. “The cabin was exactly as advertised. Very clean and well kept. Great location to bounce between GSMNP, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge areas. Highly recommend and we would stay again when coming back to area!”

“It was a very nice cabin in the woods, not to far from gatlinburg and the smokies, very clean and straighforward. Would stay again!”

“Overall this cabin was a nice secluded stay. The host was able to get us extra towels when asked. However, the interior of the cabin was smaller than it appeared in the photos, the towels in particular were a bit rough and looked pretty used / some faint stains. The cabin was slightly dusty/dirty. (Which makes some sense as it is a cabin). We were taken aback as the couch shown in the pictures had been replaced with a cheap, uncomfortable futon. Also, there were a few windows (particularly on the doors) that did not have curtains and let a decent amount of light in as well as making the cabin feel a bit less private. Overall, I would say the cabin is not the most luxurious, but it served us well for our trip to the smokies.”

“I loved this little cabin! Perfect for a couple. Huge (very confortable) bed, clean hot tub, amazing location. I gave 4 stars because of a couple small factors - only 2 of the burners on the stove worked and there was no air vent in the bathroom. Also be prepared for either a $45 non refundable deposit or $1000 refundable deposit. That was a surprise. Otherwise this quaint little spot was absolutely perfect for an awesome gatlinburg experience, being 5 minutes from the strip while also feeling very secluded. We saw a mama bear and 4 cubs near my car one morning! Put us a little behind waiting for them to clear out but it was very cool to see. Be prepared for hills, bears, and relaxation! I still miss that comfy bed.”

“Overall pretty good stay. Bed is pretty stiff and it was tough to get comfortable. The blinds in the place don’t cover the entire window , this was very concerning , WiFi wasn’t strong enough to stream football games . Best thing about the place is the shower . Amazing shower !”

“This place was great and the hot tub was amazing after a few long hikes in the park. The bed was also very comfortable. The only complaint was the floor felt a little greasy on the 1st day from whatever was used to clean it. It dried out by day 2, and at least we knew it was clean! FYI too, the parking is on a steep incline. Overall, would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting the Smokies or Gaitlinburg.”
