“We loved our stay in Pacific Grove. The location was awesome and the house was perfect for our family. Blackout curtains in the twin bedroom would be welcome as the alley neighbors keep a light on.”

“Our second stay (previously Spring 2022). As good as before. Outstanding location. Right on the prime cove in the city (for beauty) with a panoramic view out the huge living room window. World class strolls along the coast right out the front door. Perfect furniture for comfort and function. Great beds. Most comfortable chairs in front of the panoramic living room window you will ever sit in. Only slight disappointment was the otter colony in the cove dropped from 20-30 in 2022 to less than 10 now. Still fun to view through the provided scope in the living room. Hope the two boats of fishermen that started every day right over the otter kelp beds aren’t to blame, or the dopey young couple who kayaked right over the otters’ favored hangout spot and pulled on the kelp for some reason. Neither were around in 2022.”

“We had a nice stay at this Carmel-by-the-sea property. The size and layout was good for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. But I will point out 2 things to consider: While it is close to town and the beach, it is not ideal to walk as you have to get out on the main road and circle back to get to town and the beach. Also, I specifically asked about the mattresses as other reviews had mentioned they were very soft and appeared to need upgrading. I was told this had been addressed, but the ensuite in the back of the main floor still had a mattress that was both in poor condition and poor quality.”

“The house was not ready for check in due to the house being cleaned. Host suggested for us to grab coffee and come back later. We came back at 5:40pm (approx. 1.5 hrs late) but the house cleaner was still cleaning with garbage to still remove, wet floor, and a pile of unfolded towels, which I told her to just leave. After all this, we requested courtesy late check-out, but it was denied which was quite unfortunate. All in all, the location was picturesque and close to the beach which was nice.”
