Miss Kitty's Fishing Getaways

Miss Kitty's Fishing Getaways's guest rating of 4.60 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Well this place was a bust. First the incorrect instructions are given for connecting to WiFi. Wrong password and login. Completely different from what is listed in the instructions. Next was the cleanliness. There was something spilled on the front door, hair in the shower, the microwave was dirty. The living room fan does not work and the maintenance was lacking. I had to call and sit on hold to get the WiFi situation fixed. We emailed about the cleanliness and were told someone would be by to address the issues but no one ever showed up. Then I received about 20 email reminders about when to checkout. That was the most annoying part! There was no coffee or filters as listed in the rental. There were no glasses, only small coffee cups and wind glasses. Not terrible but when you pay that much you should definitely expect the house to be as listed. I love Fulton/Rockport but I will never stay here again.

I’ve stayed before and it was a good experience two years ago now it’s run down need a good clean bbq area filthy neighbours house a dump with trash everywhere the pool has turned to a swamp so millions of mosquitoes unable to use outside, house was not properly cleaned from previous visitors hair and mold under bath mats damp on ceiling and generally very dirty house need a lot of attention so we found other accommodation no refund or apology extremely disappointing me and my wife’s anniversary so she was very upset.

Location of the home is great. The house itself needs a lot of work. Numerous spots in the floor that feel like you could fall through them at any point. Serious safety issue! Door lock code did not work upon trying to enter the home for the first time. Called Miss Kitty's office and the worker was rude over the phone. He seemed to insist that I was not entering the code correctly. After minutes of trying to enter the same entry code over and over again, he gave me a different code and that worked the first time. House was not stocked with any essentials. Only one roll of paper towels, one small bottle of dish soap, and one dishwasher packet. If you're planning to cook make sure you bring salt and pepper at a minimum. House was very clean, but not the most accommodating.

1st I got a call 30 mins prior to check in there was no lienens and someone would call me back to let me know when they would de deliver. No one called back. I had to go buy some at Dollar General. Dont know if they are going to reimburse me. There was hair in the bath drains. Roaches in the bedroom. House was across from stagnant water way and the misquitos were horrible.

For the price I was disappointed in this property. It’s an old house and is in need of some serious love. Front door barely functions, toilet was clogged, pool was dirty, cockroaches very active, shower handle fell off, pool sticks mostly broken, master bed frame broken and collapsing, refrigerator smelled of bad shrimp. I stay in this area frequently because I have a boat and like being on the canal, for which this property was fine. Hot tub and outdoor area were great. It’s just a very old house that’s for sale and you can see they are not willing to spend any money to improve. Wouldn’t book again at any price.

The condo needed a good scrubbing. The porch and patio needed to be swept. There was a squashed bug in the sink. There were some maintenance issues. The light switch to the patio is faulty and is a safety issue.

They tell you to bring this and that and there is only enough for 24 hours, they are not lying. The place had nothing. Not even a salt and pepper shaker. BRING ANYTHING YOU MIGHT NEED!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very peaceful, great scenery, and we enjoyed the fishing pier. The only negative was it wasn’t very clean. There was dog hair throughout the house, the floors were not very clean.. The bathroom rugs were dirty and stained, there were a few dirty dishes in the sink, when we arrived and the coffee maker was not clean. If they would have done a better cleaning job, it would have definitely be a 5+ star review!

If you are looking to go fishing with your boat this location isn’t fit. They show a boat slip and dock in pictures as well as list the boat dock as an amenity but upon asking about using it the 3rd party managing company informed us we are not allowed to use it. We tried to get an accommodation to another property we can use a boat dock and they were unwilling to work with us. The downstairs “apartment” had a foul stench which was determined to be a bad water heater. We had to take cold showers waiting for it to be repaired. Foul smell from under kitchen sink like a dead animal. Washer didn’ work correctly spin cycle failed to engage at all. House was very hot temperature wise upon arrival in all areas.
