Mint House by Kasa's guest rating of 4.48 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Overall, a very cool and fun place to stay. Very retro, clean, and colorful. Our only complaint was the WiFi would not work on the tv, so we could not watch it at all. I would suggest an Ethernet connection in the future. That would resolve the overall issue of patrons having to figure out how to add the WiFi, out of multiple connections, options, etc. we tried several different combinations of what was suggested but eventually gave up after 40 minutes. The entrance instructions were not great and there was security at the door that didn’t speak English that was super difficult to communicate with too. We would stay here again though, so overall it was a win for us!”airbnb

“This place worked fine for a quick overnight stay, especially if you just need somewhere to sleep before or after a flight. The check-in process was very easy and convenient, and being so close to the airport was definitely a plus. However, I would not personally recommend it for a longer-term stay. The furniture felt frugal and overall the space could use some upgrades to make it feel more comfortable and well-kept. Another thing worth mentioning is that the surrounding area did not feel very safe, especially at night which made the experience a little uncomfortable. I also think it should be clearly disclosed in the listing that parking is an extra charge. Finding that out later was frustrating and felt misleading since parking is pretty important for most travelers staying in the area. Overall, it served its purpose for one night, but there are definitely areas that could be improved.”airbnb

“Upon arriving, we had to pay for parking that was located in a sketchy gravel parking lot. I was concerned about my car all night. When we entered the Air BnB, we noticed the walls were stained/scuffed. The table was dirty. There was no putting green or dartboard as shown in the pictures. I brought up my concerns with the host and he stated that the people from the previous stay had damaged the putting green and that they didn’t have time to alert us. Additionally they said they would ask the cleaning crew what happened to the dartboard but never got back to me about that. The whole reason I booked this stay was for the putting green and dartboard so my boyfriend and I could be entertained. I would have appreciated a forewarning. The host did NOTHING to accommodate me. The fact that these problems were voiced and nothing was done to remedy our stay is poor management. Then the host had the AUDACITY to ask for a 5 star review. DO NOT STAY HERE!!”airbnb

“The location of the place was in a safe area! As far as the actual airbnb, for the most part it’s identical to the pictures. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of the removal of the dart board and mini golf set up. So we were surprised upon arrival to not see it as we were looking forward to it! It was one of the eye catching things while looking pictures. In addition, it was not thoroughly cleaned as hair was in the shower, golf balls scattered underneath tv stand and miscellaneous items in the couch.”airbnb

“Great location, cozy apartment. Parking was $30 though. Walls are dirty in a couple rooms which does not feel clean. Trash and crumbs were left on one of the tables in the living room. You have to download an app for entry. We could not get the fan in the bedroom to work. Strong weed smell & parties happening in a couple different apartments in the building. None of this really bothered me other than the cleanliness factor. Still worth the money because of the location and great price. Would definitely recommend a new cleaner though.”airbnb

“Unfortunately my family & I did not have the best experience here. My husband found this place last minute & I didn’t read the description before booking. I see now that this listing says they don’t offer basic essentials during the stay which defeats the purpose of staying in an Airbnb. The host asked me specifically how many people were coming & I said 3 adults + 2 young kids. Still, only 1 roll of toilet paper was provided & when I asked for more I was told it’s against policy to provide more. We were also only given 2 towels. The decoration in the pictures was gone from the apartment making it look bare & not homey at all. The kitchen barely has anything, just a lonely coffee pot on the counter. It didn’t even have salt & pepper. Parking is $25 per night which is so ridiculous. Paying for parking also defeats the purpose of staying in an Airbnb. A man also questioned me in the entrance & wanted to know my room #/name before letting me go up. So annoying. Not coming back here.”airbnb

“One of the most poorly managed stays I’ve experienced. Despite paying $25/night, parking was unavailable; I was told to park in a handicap spot and “wouldn’t be towed.” Enforcement was nonexistent Saturday, then suddenly enforced Sunday. Check-in was in a cramped hallway (possible fire hazard), with a rude staff member yelling at guests and only present Friday. Calls are answered with just “hello,” and concerns are brushed off. Cleanliness was unacceptable: dirty cups (one with dried yellow residue resembling urine), dishwasher tablets in a hair-filled Ziploc, clogged sink, lumpy couch, and a building that smelled like marijuana. Noise was constant—parties, yelling, pounding at 1am both nights—and it’s on a busy party bus route, so not quiet. You must download an app for room access. Overall, disorganized, unsanitary, unsafe, and overpriced—especially since it’s hundreds cheaper through Choice Hotels.”airbnb

“Parking is $29 extra per night. The parking lot often fills and there are no clear alternatives. Checking in requires a separate app that was difficult to find. The unit is in a massive apartment complex looking building so it is noisy. There were few amenities available in the unit. For example, not a single extra roll of toilet paper.”airbnb

“Easy parking situation. Definitely could have been cleaner. Dorito crumbs in the living room carpet and lash clusters in the carpet as well from previous guests. Night stands stained and towels were dark gray instead of white so hard to tell if they were clean or not. Decorated super cute and spacious.”airbnb
