“This was our sixth or so stay at Lowell Point with Miller’s Landing. Of all the places we’ve visited in Alaska, Lowell Point consistently ranks near the top for us. The views and location are hard to beat. Some of the best in Alaska. This was our second property with Miller’s Landing, and it was a nice surprise. Clean, comfortable, and private enough. We managed to start a fire with wet logs, walked along the beach, and made the most of a rainy weekend. The upper-level duplex is a fully equipped two-bedroom apartment with a nice bathroom. I would choose this property over the bungalow we stayed in previously. It seemed a little better maintained. My one concern was the smoke detectors. One was missing from the ceiling. Two others were sitting on furniture without batteries. A fourth was mounted on the ceiling but had no visible indicator light. I don’t know if there was any others that I couldn’t see or wasn’t aware of. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay. We love Lowell Point”

“The road to this house is extremely rough so beware if you’re renting a car. The walls seemed paper thin, you could hear the TV and talking from the upstairs unit. There is some maintenance needed on the unit, the floors are buckling. The view was gorgeous and the unit suited our needs for a single night.”

“I want to leave a 5 star review but the specific room we stayed in was just not as described. It seems to be a house that was split in half and the only thing splitting the two is a thin door. We could hear clear as day into the next room to which I assume someone lives in permanently. The view would be gorgeous but there is a community hot tub directly in front of the outside door so you see strangers in their bathing suits, going to and from the whole time blocking your beautiful view from your door/bed etc. (They've can see into your room/bed) Its very awkward for you and them. Lastly the central heat did not work, though when I contacted the host they immediately sent back and said they would have it looked at ASAP. Other than that we had a great stay! It was very clean and well maintained in a very quiet area. But this specific room is just not what you think you're paying for.”

“Great location, great place - cannot go wrong with the beautiful Lowell Point! The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The hosts had sent out all of the standard communications in a very timely manner. One thing that I found unsettling was that, when I asked whether or not they have availability at their other properties for the next night - I asked twice - my questions were completely ignored (my messages were shown as received and read). That, to me, is not excellent host response rate. Other than that, everything else was great.”
